“I used to come here a lot when I was a kid and at the time it was owned by these really nice old couple. They used to always give me discounts on my snacks. I came here the other week to see if they were still here. The guy at the counter was some next teenager but I didn't bother asking him bout the old couple. Now, their stuff is super overpriced. Not surprised.”

“Envie Nails is honestly the best salon you can go to in southern Ontario! I get my nails done every 4 weeks cause they are perfect every time. From plain nails to extreme designs they can do them all. And if you have a girl/guy that can’t do the design they will call another nail tech to do it. They are all so nice and polite. I love that the salon is always clean and well kept. Even though there are times I have to wait in line, but the wait is worth the end result. Love envie nails!”

My friends and I were in Hamilton, suppose to go on a hike, but we took a detour to look for food before we do, and we had heard about this gem on tiktok. And honestly, its bang for your buck! They give you 3 perfect size tacos, with toppings that you will never see toronto do (you would have to either pay extra for it)
The tacos itself was crispy, perfect melted cheese with onion, tomatoes and lettuce. (I heard there guac was super good as well) there hot sauce is no joke. Adds the right amount of spice to it and better yet, the pricing for these were WORTH it. Been telling my friends and family about this place. This place is worth the hour drive!

They even sell baked goods; I'm a lifelong Nanaimo Bar fan and they sell some nice ones that I always treat myself to when I'm making my biweekly or so visits to Concession Street every two weeks or so. Ice cream looks good, too, might treat to that as well next time!”

“I have been coming here since 1974 when it was "Astro". Excellent service from everyone, especially the young Manager. By the way - people should know that they sell REAL Swedish 'Snus' ! Not just Skoal or other dipping tobacco, but real snus is available now.”

I use the word hospitable because when I use any of the the showers I really feel the the thoughtfulness and care they have for us drivers. The wash room and showers are always fresh and clean. “I had a fantastic experience at the car wash on Barton Street. After a small issue during a wash, the owner went above and beyond to make things right, even offering compensation. His customer service was exceptional, and it made a big difference. The gas at this location is always good quality, and the layout is really convenient. There are 10 spacious manual wash bays, plenty of self-serve vacuums, and the automatic wash always leaves my car looking spotless. Plus, having a Tim Hortons next door is a great perk! I highly recommend this spot for its excellent service and convenience”

“The workers at this gas station are the definition of trained very well and are people who have experience with a good attitude and how to handle situations and serve the costumers properly. The prices are VERY fair considering the other stations that aren’t shell will rip you off but this shell they make sure to have fair pricing. When I went in I was greeted by a boy who helped me out with what I needed and his name was Jawad. I would 100% recommend going here for good gas prices and top notch gas quality. I am very satisfied.”

“This place is great, always friendly, I love that there a chester chicken in the Food Mart. Anytime I go there I get my stuff I need, Then go to chester Chicken to pick-up my lunch/dinner inside the food mart. If chester Chicken closed, then I walk next door to Queens Pizza. Love how I can pick up the stuff I need and get my food in one place. Hand downs the best Food Mart I've been to. 120% recommend.”

It’s unbelievable how many crackheads, straight up dangerous and disrespectful people they have come through their doors. I could and would never be able to put up with the absolute nonsense that they deal with daily.
Side note, I’ve lived in this neighborhood my whole life, yes I like and respect anytime and their employees but I really miss John and Mickey’s store on Wellington and Hunter. I 100% blame anytime for putting “Welton variety” out of business!”

“been coming here off and on invariably for years, the staff have always been really cool with me, and they have a great selection of merchandise. what separates this from other Big Bee stores (they were formerly a Big Bee too), is that it has a very neighbourhood convenience store look and feel to it instead of a commercial franchise look and layout like Big Bees and similar franchise convenience stores. my only problem is that due to these changing times there's almost always someone out front of the store bothering customers in one way or another, and it gets a bit sketchy there at night time as a result... this isn't necessarily new for the immediate area but there seems to be an increase... it would be nice if there was a more consistent police presence in the area to move these people along.”
