“Thus us my main store to shop. I got a P.C. Financial card and the P.C Mastercard. These 2 items help increase my optimum points, because of this I get approximately $50 a month in free groceries. With a family of 7 and pets this helps a lot. I rarely come across expired items. When I have bought something and have had an issue, they are quick to replace the item. The staff is always very friendly as is the owner.”

I found out my son has a soy allergy and unfortunately the website doesn’t list soy as an allergen so I was stuck going through the ingredients of each item I was looking at. He offered to print me a list of items they sell that were soy free and made my trip so much easier.”

“I used to be a regular here back when it was Bhattal Groceries, and while I have fond memories of the previous owner and our lovely chats, it is a whole different world under the new ownership!
They have completely transformed the space and renamed it Asian Superstore & Taj Restaurant. Walking in last week, I was genuinely pleased by the massive selection they carry. From everyday household essentials and fresh produce to dairy and groceries, they truly have everything you need under one roof. The new team has done an incredible job revamping the place. Highly recommend stopping by to check it out!”

“Food Basics has become one of my go-to grocery stores, and they absolutely deserve five stars. Their prices are consistently some of the best around, especially for everyday essentials, produce, and pantry items. You can really stretch your budget here without sacrificing quality, which is something I appreciate every time I shop.
One thing I’ve noticed — and really like — is that they’re always trying to improve and update their world food section. Every few visits, I spot new items or different brands from various cultures. It shows they’re paying attention to what customers want and are making an effort to offer more variety and representation. It’s great being able to pick up ingredients you don’t always find in regular grocery stores.
Overall, Food Basics offers great value, solid quality, and a steadily growing international selection. They’ve been doing a really good job, and it keeps me coming back. Five stars well deserved!”

Delicious bakery items and great selection that some other local stores do not carry. I haven't had it in a while, but the in-store pizza was my favourite - there was a lady working there with a purple streak in her hair that I am convinced made THE BEST pizza and actually listened when I asked for well done pizza.
I really like how they tend to mark down goods instead of throwing them out, good to see less food waste.
Not sure thrilled about the switch from Air Miles loyalty point to their own points program, but that's not within the control of this store.”

“Aug 29th , I forgot one of my bag while packing up from till and realised it was missing only after I came back home. When I called they acknowledged my issue and transferred to the manager and he helped me right away and identify my missing bag. They even kept my frozen items from the bag back to the fridge and got them back when I was there to collect them. Thanks for being so kind and professional. Kudos to Brantford Freshco.”
“Incorrect signage is a problem there! Buy 2 of an item for $$ instead the sign simply said $3.99 I was charged $5.99 AFTER I GOT HOME ! New product line in the store has a product which was clearly Frozen Salmon.. according to the sign it was LEAN GROUND BEEF, who's what the price of the fish was and no one to even ask!”

“Great store! Packed with a large selection! Deli meats, the cuts of meat selection looked amazing!!! I picked up a bacon and egg sandwich from the hot bar and it was delicious!!! Also grabbed some fresh cheese buns and a large bag of frozen buttermilk chicken tenders. Will be back again for fresh cuts of meat! Friendly service!”
