“Truly one must go to Thornhill for the bigger versions of their local stores. Being used to the Galleria back in Oakville, this one took me by surprise. It's HUGE! And has lots of the same stuff, just more off it, PLUS a bunch of resraurants inside and a full taiyaki station.
Worth checking out.”
“This place brings me and the whole family joy. The owners care so much about their clients. They live in the neighbourhood, and it show, They go out of their way to stock the shelves with what the community wants. Sometimes, when I'm waiting for my wife, the shop owner will come out to give a little treat to our puppy.”
“Has a lot of cool things that Longo's or Loblaws doesn't have and the people that work here are great, but... over the past few weeks I've bought fresh produce here twice, gotten things like cucumbers and some berries, they've all gone bad within 2 days(mold and slimy). I would still come here for things from asian countries like ramen or sauce or appliances, but maybe not fresh food.”
“This is my everyday place. it's close to us, and I LOVE the deli meats, and the butcher counter. Great options for grocery, so friendly! I love that they're always speaking italian, make it all feel more authentic. That's what you want from a local grocer, especially Italian. That they know their stuff. The pasta selection and cheese selection is amazing! The Euro household stuff too, it just takes me right back to Europe! if you live nearby, it should be your daily market. Great local spot.”
“Wonderful store by wonderful people. Fantastic products, fresh meats and cheese, and everything else you need for dinner. Their fresh pizza dough and garlic bread is particularly amazing! A new favorite”
“I would like to shop but that smell through out the mall from Nations grocery would get into everything!
Please stop selling that fruit or whatever is makeing the place not pleasant anymore. Sorry it really reaks. Some might eat, but you don't need it? It's not worth it.
There should be an inviting aroma from the food court.
I don't remember this off-putting experience in past years.
Yuk ?”

“I really enjoy shopping at H Mart. The selection is great, the staff are friendly, and the store is always clean. The produce is consistently fresh, which is a big plus.”
“Josie and Gord are community staples. Picked up some ribeye for dinner and it was greatly marbled. They’re super friendly and the prices are good for the quality! Will be coming back often”
“This compact version of the popular Korean grocery chain packs a lot into a small footprint. Located near Yonge and Eglinton, it’s perfect for quick stops and specialty finds. You’ll find fresh produce, Korean snacks, ready-to-eat meals, and staples like kimchi and ramen. The hot food counter is a standout—great for grabbing a tasty lunch or dinner on the go. Prices are a bit higher than mainstream grocers, but the quality and uniqueness make it worth it.”
“I thoroughly enjoy shopping at this Sobeys, the Cashier’s are friendly. I get a lot of bang for my bucks. Love buying my Salmon always a good deal. Occasionally I have bought takeout which was very delicious. Thank You……..Shalom ??????”
“Absolutely love this supermarket! The store is very clean, well-organized, and easy to shop in. They have a huge variety of fresh produce, snacks, and so many interesting foods you don’t usually find anywhere else. It’s always exciting to discover something new every visit. The quality is great and everything feels fresh. Highly recommend if you enjoy Asian groceries or want to try something different!”
“I discovered this little place today while out for a walk. I noticed the displays of fruit on the sidewalk- and I crossed the road to check it out. The prices were good- so i shopped.
I spent $15 and got a bag full of fruit (green grapes $1.99/lb!).”
“I love coming here to shop. Though the prices are still more on the mid to high -range side, the quality of the products are amazing and there is so much variety. It's hard to leave the store without a missing item.”
“The BEST!! They refuse to waste food, so older stuff goes into $1 land, so everyone can afford fruits and veggies!! Even the stuff that's fresh isn't expensive at all. Eggs are only $3.99!! I stop here first to see if they have what I need before going anywhere else!”
“The best Serbian/Balkan store in North York and Scarborough area. I came here craving cevapi but unwilling to drive to Mississauga to the more well known Balkan stores.
The cevapi is just as good, and they’ve been the only store I’ve seen so far that serves red onions instead of white, which I find to be much tastier.
Their lepinje is also delicious, and they sell the most popular brands of various different foods like pickled peppers, ajvar, and kajmak.”

“I only come to uni for chicken dumpling mayo + rice and veggies for $8.99.

Mom im an addict for this ?”
“Good substitute for a Real Canadian Superstore or Loblaw’s Market. Freshco doesn't like making money apparently? The Freshco at Don Mills Road & Helen Luu Ave is closed on Statutory Holidays ? ?”
“Was my first time at this location, I went for curiosity and see what this store might have
I was there on Friday around lunch time and store looks very quiet, stoked well and clean
They carry many international products, fresh produce and so much more ???????????
I’ll be back to get some groceries ??”
“I have just moved to North York, and walking distance to Leo's market. It's a beautiful, European style little market but provides everything from gelato icecream to fresh sandwiches, salads and hot, delicious food to satisfy all diverse tastes ? It's also a wonderful place for cakes and cookies and delectable pastries! My delight was finding fresh vegetables and fruits, and a variety of breads with a deli and fresh fish, chicken and other meats, and so much more! All the people who work there are friendly and super helpful. I recommend that you visit Marcheleo's Market and you'll be tempted to shop there everyday!”
“great compact little galleria. they have good kimbap deals and ready made grab + go meals, alongside a nice selection of korean snacks and pantry staples. they also take amex now!”
“This is the store I do 90% of my grocery shopping at and it is good. It is always clean and tidy. They have all the departments in the store spread out nicely with a great selection. Pretty much anything you'll ever need for home cooking you can find here. My only complaint would be that they usually don't have enough people working the cash registers, so lineups do tend to form.”
“Hey owners! Do you know what happened to the oishi Fish crackers? You used to sell them. Are they coming back? They disappeared a few months ago.
Good convenient location overall. We visit a lot. Wife's favourite.
(Please bring back more Filipino snacks. Seems to be less selection now)”
“Metro is a vibrant market dedicated to providing fresh, organic produce sourced locally. Walking in, I was greeted by the colorful displays of fruits and vegetables that looked freshly harvested. The aisles are well-organized, making it easy to find what you need. I was particularly impressed by the variety of organic options available, from heirloom tomatoes to artisanal cheeses. The staff is knowledgeable and eager to help, offering cooking tips and recipe ideas. I picked up some seasonal vegetables and a few specialty items, like homemade pasta and locally sourced honey. The prices are competitive, and the quality is outstanding. They also have a bulk section for grains and nuts, which I love. Shopping at meto feels good, knowing I’m supporting local farmers while enjoying top-notch ingredients. It’s a must-visit for anyone passionate about healthy eating!”
“Decent amount of parking.
The layout is similar to other locations. They carry quality basic household brand items. Very busy during peak hours.”
“Where do I begin the communication, the intake of orders the choice of flavors par excellence! Special shout out to Glenna for going above & beyond client servicing speaks volumes - our order was international she made an exception to confirm details share inputs and make sure she got information just right..thank you team we are truly impressed:) appreciate your efforts and hardwork xx”
“As a true cheese monger I want to give a big shout out to the deli department. I have not ordered freshly cut cheeses on-line for many years as I have almost always been disappointed with the quality regardless of which store I had ordered them from. I was in a pinch and took the chance and was extremely impressed with all of the various pieces especially the two types of brie. Thank you for the dedication and detail you clearly place on maintaining your cheese section.”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Perola’s Supermarket is a Toronto treasure: a place where every visit feels like stepping into a world of flavor, culture, and discovery. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by an incredible selection of authentic Latin American products: fresh, homemade tortillas, vibrant dried peppers, rich salsas, and the most amazing Mexican candies and snacks you can imagine. Many of these items are rare finds in the city, and the careful curation makes every aisle feel like a new adventure for the senses.
The owner and staff elevate the experience even further. Knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely welcoming, they go above and beyond to help you find exactly what you need or offer thoughtful recommendations. The store’s warm, intimate, and meticulously stocked interior reflects a dedication to quality and community that’s rare in today’s world. Perola’s isn’t just a supermarket, it’s a celebration of Latin American culinary tradition, a hub for food lovers, and a must-visit destination in Kensington Market. Every visit leaves you inspired, delighted, and already planning your next trip.
Whether I have my wallet or not, I cannot even wealth through Kensington market without stepping inside this place.”
“Surprised in little space you’re finding all your everyday needs at very reasonable price well organized all staff members are very helpful and friendly with special skills!!!!!”
“One of the best grocery stores in the east /midtown area. A bit hard to access by foot unless you live nearby, but easy drive to get there and worth the drive. Their produce is top notch, in-house made products are excellent, service is great, and the food at their sandwich/pizza counter is really delicious.”
