As this was my father’s watch, it is very precious to me, so it was important to hand it over to people I knew would both be able to fix it, and who would understand its significance to me. I could not be more pleased with the service I received. Several times I was phoned to keep me informed about the process. Understandably, a watch that is over 80 years old, worn daily for more than 80 years, needs specialized parts that are not readily available. However, The Clock Factory was able complete the repair. When I got home, I realized that without mentioning it, they had replaced the rather scratched crystal with a lovely new one. This is the excellent, friendly service I have come to expect from this business.”

“A necklace that I've cherished for many year, actually 42 years, was one gifted to me by my husband of 40 years. It's special ... it's beautiful and, it means a lot to me - because it was his first gift - and, so, I love it dearly. Recently, while putting it on - I noticed that a part of the strand was very dark in colour ... as if the gold in the necklace had discolored. I brought it in to the Birks location at Sherway... a store that we have purchased a few things from over the years. After showing the necklace to Mary - she made a decision to place it in the jewelry cleaning machine. The necklace did come out looking much better - however, the 'dark' area of the strand was still quite dark.... and, this is when Nimfa took charge and manually started cleaning the area. Mary asked me to come back two hours later - as they wanted the machine to do a lengthy cleaning. When i returned and saw the necklace - it was as if i was seeing it for the first time - back 42 years ago. It was perfect. It was beautiful. I neglected to mention that I had made knots in the chain over the years to shorten the length... they were also taken part carefully. This Birks location not only carries such beautiful pieces, ( I can't help myself to look around each time that I visit ), but, it's the staff that really makes the difference. Mary and Nimfa cared so much about my necklace and, cared about my worries. I should also mention that the owner of this location is a wonderful and unassuming gentleman. I have never felt any pressure to purchase ... they're just happy to help and make people happy.”
