“Our search for contemporary art for our home brought us to Rothwell Gallery after visiting most of the city's other commercial galleries, and from the minute we walked through the door we knew we had found the right place for us. The range of artists and styles represented by the gallery suited our tastes perfectly. The quality of presentation of works throughout the space was impeccable, and the obvious care and thoughtfulness that went into displaying the artwork was exceeded only by the warmth and accessibility of the gallery's owner, Natalie Cheff. Her approach to customer service was on a completely different level - she helped us get to know the backgrounds of the artists and their work, there was no pressure or pretense at any time, and we were welcome to "test drive" any piece we wanted in our home to be sure we would be happy with any potential purchase. Once we did settle on artwork we liked, Natalie expertly guided us through any framing options and even came to our home to advise on placement and installation, and then took care of the installation personally. Our experience with the gallery was a pleasure from start to finish. There aren't enough stars in a Google review to properly reflect how much we would recommend Natalie and her wonderful gallery.”

“I am more into European painting. The museum has a very good collection. They are very well organized and you can walk through separate sections dedicated to different eras and movements. Definitely worth to go more than once.”

“This was a beautiful gallery with no admissions fee! The art is unique and the atmosphere is calm and comforting. They played some light music and there were lots of different pieces to see. It's a smaller gallery so maybe plan for a 30min visit but there's a wonderful antique store not far that pairs well with it. Would definitely recommend for a quiet weekend trip :)”

“On Sunday I dropped in for a quick look at the Inuit carvings and mentioned to an employee that I had chipped a carving....she told me the owner might be able to fix it. The owner spoke to me and said next time I was coming downtown to contact him and he would look at it .......so three days I call the store and his assistant has him answer the phone and he tells me he would be there all day and bring the carving......he fixed the chip to make it look like new within 5 to 10 minutes and did not want any money......he said next time......Little did he know that 49 years ago I bought my first carving from his store when it was located on Elgin St. (The carving he fixed was not bought at his store.....)It is easy to understand why he is still in business.....”

“Small ground floor gallery in Byward market on Dalhousie street with resident artists as well as assortment of various paintings and a few sculptures.Due to artist copy right concerns, no photos of their art work will be photo here.Their collection can be eclectic but if you are like me, you bound to find a few works that speak to you.Staff was super friendly and very knowledgeable as I inquired about a few of the paintings that were of interest to me. They were able to recount the artists focus and intentions of the paintings and some less notable details that only curateurs would know.I do recommend walk further than the main gallery and go the back and behind the separating wall. There are more art pieces with diverse styles and genre that may tickle your interest.Lovely.”

“I love this dog park and I highly recommend it! Super convenient and close to home. It's the first time that I go to a dog park where you can bring a ball/Frisbee and there's no fight: dogs are all playing/running together. My only concern is that it would be great to eventually have grass everywhere instead of asphalt. Also, a double door would be better for dogs safety :) I understand that this area used to be a basketball court but it seems that it was never fully converted to a normal dog park.”

“I was traveling and won a large framed piece of art during a raffle. Wallacks was helpful as they packed and shipped the item to my home in the US. When the package arrived, it was packed perfectly, and in mint condition. The cost was very reasonable, however, it took longer than expected. If you need to ship art, I highly recommend the Wallacks team.”
