We almost opted for a much larger and well known location, but found this little gem nearby on Google Maps. The short summary: great food, location, and service, all at a very fair price.
My wife had a western sandwich, and I had an omelette. Both were delicious! This very small, low volume restaurant makes everything on site while you watch, and the ingredients are fresh and delicious.
The very pleasant staff is excellent, creating a small, family business sort of vibe that is utterly charming, and produces great results.
Finally, the locale is superb, with lots of parking and a great lakeside patio with a wonderful view, in addition to the vey small inside dining area.
I could almost wish the business stays small, as the overall result is so amazing, but the owner and staff deserve growth if that's what they want. A must-do restaurant - certainly in the summer.

110 Ferguson Rd, GravenhurstWe had lunch in the middle of the afternoon. It is a fairly large space with an upper and lower bar as well as two patios. While it felt “slow” there were actually a decent number of people sitting.
We had a burger and a sandwich with the handout fries - the fries were AMAZING!
They have events planned for every night of the week, such as trivia and live performances.
We’re only visiting, otherwise the FP would be a regular thing for us.

The Oar - Lamorna Restaurant
530 Muskoka Rd N, GravenhurstHidden Gem! We came across this place while staying in Muskoka and we were blown away. This was truly some of the best food we have ever had. The chef took staple dishes and pulled out spectacular flavors in the most unexpected ways. We had mixed pickles to start that had all different vegetables, each pickled in their own brine for individually distinct flavor. The burger was one of the best I have ever had, and the arctic char was impeccable. We finished with the sticky toffee pudding which was in a league of its own! Martina was our waitress and she made us feel right at home, true hospitality. Can’t wait to come back.
