“I locked my keys in my car - it was very cold outside. I asked Kim if I could wait in the store - I was there for 50 minutes. She was so wonderful - asked if I needed a chair or if she could put my previously purchased food in the freezer. The store was really busy … she was helpful and courteous with all the customers, service with a smile. I assumed she was the owner … employees like this are hard to find. Thank you Kim - you made a bad situation for me tolerable. 😁”

“The cashier I had today, 113 on the receipt, short gray hair, was the most pleasant, nice, friendly cashier I have seen anywhere in a long time. She was just chatty enough, felt like she cared about the customer. Even the teenagers ahead of me were engaging with her in a happy manner. She deserves a raise for it. Like that I can buy just small amounts of spices. The manager working in the store was also friendly and helpful.”

“I want to give a special thank‑you to a young Asian female employee who showed incredible awareness during my visit Thursday. My autistic child had become very focused on a balloon in the store, and she immediately noticed. Thinking he wanted it, she gently took the balloon down and asked me if he could have it.
I politely declined, hoping to help him forget about it, but her attention and quick thinking made all the difference. Whether she realized it or not, her hypervigilance prevented what could have turned into a very stressful meltdown for him and for me.
Small moments like this matter so much to families like mine. Her kindness, presence, and willingness to pay attention turned a potentially overwhelming situation into a smooth and peaceful one. I’m deeply grateful.

“I would definitely recommend this store for groceries. I would recommend to refer weekly flyer to know about good deals.Also if you have Scene+ account then you can earn points on grocery purchase and redeem them in-store later on. Two most important points I want to share.1) If you have Scotia bank AMEX card then you could get 6x points on groceries that would be 6% back on every purchase.2) Store offers price match, so if some of the items are priced higher as compared to other grocery stores so in that case you can do Price match and take benefit of it.”

“Don't normally shop here, but Loblaws stopped carrying the Pure Life Peach Iced Tea, and I can only find it at Metro now. One of the managers Ian was extremely helpful and nice. I could shop at any Metro, but I'd rather shop here where the staff obviously values their customers.”
“I think this place the best selection for most things among all the halal stores in town (lots of exotic drinks/sweets, huge tea/coffee aisle -they also have light-roasted Gulf coffee!)
What surprised me was that they have inexpensive small hookah pipes. Much smaller and cheaper than the ones you find at dedicated hookah stores.”
