“Friendly and knowledgeable staff and all the things you are missing at the large chain stores . I can even find kombu to make home made dashi here ! A must go in Peterborough .”
“Never been to this place before but must admit they had some pretty cool things to try, not your normal grocery store. Lots of unique products and also bulk items at a good price.”
“Every visit I encounter helpful and friendly staff. On my most recent stop, the young man at the till cheerfully offered keep my other shopping bag for me while I picked up the items I needed. In the vitamin and supplement area, another employee noticed me looking for something and took me right to where the item was, based on my very limited description of what the container looked like and the purpose of the herb. Well done!”
“Best Indian grocery store in town. They have a good collection of spices. Surprised to see that they are selling sona masoori rice at that low price considering the situation.”
“I love bringing my 92-year-old amazing father to this wonderful store. He’s been shopping at Morello’s for many years! The produce section is my most favorite. Every single department is his favorite! It’s absolutely beautiful and inviting. The staff are always helpful and friendly and they go above and beyond to help. When in Peterborough, I highly recommend you stop in there. You won’t be sorry.”
“If you don't want to go to freshco or walmart must visit this place, you can get cheaper items than convenient stores. It is a kind of big convenient store.”
“Good store with reasonable prices items and a great collection of halal. There is good and bad in veggies and fruits, so take your time.
Also, know local prices before going here, as some item are more expensive than the Walmart next door. Friend cashiers. People stocking the shelves need to do their jobs faster or be more courteous and move when paying customers need access to blocked areas.”
“I visited M&M's for the first time in several years. The store is modern, organized and clean and the customer service was excellent.
As we were shopping, an employee asked if we needed any help and then gave us some information about how the shelves were laid out and how to find the gluten-free dishes. I really appreciated that the shelves were clearly labelled for gluten-free products to make them easier to find.
Upon checkout, it was a different staff person. He was extra friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful.
I haven't given 5/5 stars as the prices are quite high. However, I love the quality of the food and the ease of preparation.
Also influencing the rating was that I used the M&M's website prior to going to the store to find the dishes that were dairy-free and gluten-free. The gluten-free items already have their own designated section and icon on the website but the dairy-free dishes don't. There is a filter though in the search bar that can be applied to click dairy-free and it is supposed to bring up all of those dishes without dairy which is a great feature and much appreciated for people like me who have food sensitivities. But once I got into the store to do my shopping I found many dairy-free items there that did not come up on the website when using that filter so the website definitely needs to be updated to reflect ALL items without dairy so that web shoppers can plan their shopping and decide what dishes to look for when at the store. It would also be nice to have a dairy-free icon on the products and shelves as well to make it even easier for shoppers to find what they need.
Overall it was a great experience shopping there and I'm looking forward to trying the items I purchased!”
“great place to get a quick meal. always taste good and they have great options to save money. connecting an email is an assured way to get great savings on great products. one comment says they don't have any cranberry brie however I'm happy to report that its back in stock!! 8/10[reports may indicate a conflict of interest in this review]”
“The service I recieved today at the butcher counter was outstanding. The gentleman with the English accent was very knowledgeable & went above & beyond to help me get what I was looking for.”
“It's my neighborhood grocery store and I love it. Amazing group of people they have working who are always happy to help. It's not a huge store but they have whatever you need and I love that. Those big grocery stores can be overwhelming so I appreciate being able to find what I need quickly. No self checkouts which is such a bonus. Quality meats and produce and deli selection is good. Bakery in store as well. Love this friendly neighborhood grocery store.”
“Always lots of carts, all locked, clean floors, just enuff cashiers, but still loathe self checkouts, discounted meats at 30% off is Still way too expensive for a No frills store.50% or don't bother.
.59c bananas but local apples at 7.99 6lb bag? Get real. Prices are still no bargain. Galen gets richer here.”
“A lot of items we needed were sold out.
Prices for groceries everywhere are insanely expensive but No Frills tends to have Prices on the lower side of the scale: still expensive but not quite as bad as others such as Superstore.
Employees were helpful when I inquired about items we needed (which were also sold out).
There were 3 out of i think 7 or 8 registers open which was sufficient for the number of customers.
The store was clean and there was plenty of parking.
Id recommend it for grocery shopping.”
“A great place to shop. Always clean and well stocked. Even the young Larissa at the checkout was very friendly and helpful. She took what was an average shopping trip for me by just talking and helping me pack. I left feeling much better.”
“The vegetables and fruits are as you'd expect from the name. But overall, the selection is limited as compared to other grocery stores in Peterborough, other than No Frills. But No Frills is cheaper. Normally, I shop at Superstore which has a greater selection and mostly better prices for the very few times I've visited FreshCo.”
“I bought some eggs there this morning. I was disgusted by the condition of the fridge, where the eggs are kept.
You need to get somebody to clean that up. Somebody’s gonna get sick from that.
Eggs are very bad for salmonella poisoning. I complain about it. You do something about it.
Please forward this to the right personnel so they can look after this. It’s not my job to call anybody else. It’s your job now to look after it.”
“The prices are quite steep and I found the price signs on the shelves too small to see comfortably.
My cashier was very nice, friendly, efficient and helpful.”
“Do I care what you say and how it looks?? Nope.. It has the best and most reasonable priced meats in the area. Their pork is the best! Fantastic store! Great staff! Great Specials!”
