OMG. so delicious. The most helpfull and friendly of staff. Good selection , fresh produce, and reasonably priced. Will be back for sure. Thank you.”

“Was slightly daunted at going to shop here as I’m a Caucasian, Irish lady but as soon as I stepped inside I was greeted by a staff member, whom I would later find out his name was Balakrishna, or Bala, for short. I enquired about some spices and ingredients that I used to cook with in the Middle East but he walked through the aisles with me to go pick the items I needed. I found him extremely helpful and very welcoming. Such a lovely wee shop, I will be back!”

“We are quite impressed with this grocery store, we started shopping here in October when we moved to Peterborough and the staff has always been friendly & helpful. The store is always clean, they offer great selections.The only suggestion/wish we have is it would be nice to see a little more organic produce and some organic fresh herbs.”

“I went in asking for the Bob Esponga chicken I saw online, the first representative I spoke to had no clue what Bob Esponga chicken even was, then John didn't know either but agreed to special order the chicken, I am very glad because they don't sell the Bob Esponga chicken anywhere i've checked in Ontario, I forgot to tip on the way out”

Friendly staff, ease of shopping and a tremendous variety to choose from.Pricing is relative to the quality which I consider to be good. “I have shopping at Sobey's Lansdowne location for at least 10 years. Isles are wide, store exceptionally clean & produce is the best I've found in Peterborough, as for their meats, the grade is generally higher quality. This location use to cater to seniors, example pricing 2 for $4 or 1 for $2. Now after the adoption of Scene, not only have prices risen (like everywhere else), but now it's 2 for$6 or 1 for $3.75 . If as senior no kids at home etc, if I buy 2, 1 will surely go bad before eaten. NOT IMPRESSED BY THIS CHANGE.I refuse to shop at Loblaw, Shoppers , Independent etc anywhere it's owned by Galen.”

“Honestly, overall good store.PROS: They have variety in their items… and most staff are very friendly, and informative! Most often a few dollars cheaper than our local health store (which is probably why one location is now closed) Store is always clean.Convenient location, good parking, alright hours..Online website- shipping is so SLOW in my past experience.CONS: I can only find one big complaint… I find they often are OUT of stock of items, and don’t order enough to catch up with demand. If something goes out of stock every week while ordering 10… Start ordering 15, or 20?”

“Was in the store just recently. It's pretty good if you want to pick up the odd missed item I feel items all over the place. It's lacking a lot of items that a lot of the bigger stores have. When you first come into the store they have all these bulk bins right in the entrance which doesn't make sense at all. The entrance should be more inviting.”

“Had a great experience today was in to purchase 2 Salmon Steaks. My wife had tears on her face and the fish employee asked if she was ok. She had recently gone through eye cancer surgery and he was concerned. We ordered the salmon and he found us in another aisle and delivered them to her. Above and beyond service. Excellent.”
