“Every positive review on this pharmacy is true! This is the best compounding pharmacy in the GTA. I have dealt with several pharmacies- many of them give you less cream than what they say they put in the tubes. Some of the creams just don’t work, then they blame your body for their own incompetence. Not this pharmacy!! This is no mom and pop shop. Their creams work!! They give you the correct amount. They care about their customers so they prepare and ship out medications quickly! Everyone who works there has a great bedside manner. Irena is the best. She is very knowledgeable about the medications. I live in Mississauga and I drive all the way to their location because they are that good. “I had a great random experience at Dara Pharmacy in Richmond Hill. The owner, Dr. Mehri, is a senior pharmacist who is quite knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely caring. She takes the time to explain medications clearly and even provides helpful holistic guidance for duration, dosage and usage of each.
The staff are friendly, accountable, and the service is efficient. The pharmacy itself is cozy, clean, and well-organized. Being able to communicate in Persian also made the experience very comfortable and welcoming.
Another bonus to be mentioned is the prescription preparation fee which is notably lower than other pharmacies like Shoppers Drug Mart; The latter making it even more appealing.
I highly recommend Dara Pharmacy to anyone looking for a trustworthy, supportive, and cost-effective pharmacy in the Richmond Hill area.”

I will never forget the first day of January. The city was cold and silent; Richmond Hill seemed wrapped in a frozen stillness. Many were celebrating the New Year beneath warm suns and distant shores. Yet I stood in a deeper cold, burdened by physical and emotional pain. In that quiet winter emptiness, your pharmacy’s shutters were raised—like a lamp glowing through the fog.
When I stepped inside, I entered not merely a clinical space, but a field of human warmth. What settled most deeply in my heart was the spirit of sacrifice within your team: a conscious presence on a day when they could have been with their own families, yet chose instead to stand beside those in need. Their smiles were not perfunctory; they arose from a sense of loving responsibility. There was no haste to “get through” the work, but rather a noble patience—an indication that service, for them, is not simply employment, but an ethical commitment.
Dr. Solma Moghaddasin, in you I witnessed that noble union of knowledge and humanity that has illuminated the history of healing. If I were to anchor you and your team to a historical figure, I would think of Florence Nightingale—the woman who carried a lamp through the darkness of suffering and kept hope alive among the wounded. You, too, kept the lamp of service lit on a day when many rested in comfort; and your team, moving in harmony, demonstrated that professionalism and compassion can walk hand in hand.
Their devotion revealed itself in the smallest details: in the careful attention given while dispensing medication; in the patient explanations offered so that nothing essential would remain unclear; in the respect shown to each person, as though every patient were part of a greater human family. This is the quiet humanity that sustains a society—unheralded, yet profound and enduring.
Perhaps this is why I—having authored several books—cannot describe this experience in the cold, rigid language of administrative reports. My pen has long sought the spirit of life in those moments when one human being, without expectation of reward, embraces responsibility for another. If literature holds meaning for me, it is this: to bear witness to moments when light shines, quietly and without spectacle, in the heart of darkness. My gratitude today belongs to that same lineage—a gratitude that rises from the soul and lends warmth to words. These lines are neither exaggeration nor formality; they are the reflection of a truth I experienced on that winter day, in the warmth of your care.
Your pharmacy has become for me a symbol of a deeper truth: that a humane society stands upon the shoulders of responsible and compassionate individuals who do not extinguish the lamp of service—even in holidays, even in the cold, even in the silence of a city at rest.
