“This place is a hidden jewel! Had pizza and a chili cheese dog... Both were excellent although the dog could have done with a little more chili and cheese. Bought a frozen pizza to take home and it was also delicious! The crust is so good! We will be back!”

“This store is amazing! They have a wide selection of things and food that you wouldn’t find anywhere else. The staff are friendly and helpful. If you inquire if they have something they take you to it not ‘it is down aisle or over there’!!❤️”

“This metro is always busy, With the exception of produce area, aisles are cramped and narrow - there are always things to maneuver around eg pallets of items. They always have what I need and service as usually friendly. They have self check out, regular tills open, and ample parking. The bakery cake selections are always stocked and delicious.”

“I don't often go to Skafs, but since I work downtown Port Arthur and I went to visit my mother, I figured I'd stop there for a few items. No issues navigating the store, however the cashier at the register spoke very quietly (I'm hard of hearing, and the cashier turned partially to the register) and I mistakenly heard 'how are you' not 'how are you paying'- the person at the register was very abrupt. I felt very uncomfortable, not the best experience. Customer service is a big thing- just wanted to share that. Overall great store for goods though.”

“Great food, staff and store but the prices have gone up so much in the last 15 years it's insane. I wouldn't recommend buying much here unless it is on sale”

“I just had the most fantastic customer service experience st this Safeway where instead of being treated rudely or indifferently this cashier on 5 I believe was super friendly, super kind and joked around about the breakfast I super didn't want to make lol. The killer was the winky dink ? she gave me when she was kidding around that had me laughing the whole ride home! Thanks french toast lady! This kind of person is what sets you apart from the several other grocery options within walking distance.”

“Friendly service and the store was logically laid out so things were easy to find, even for us out of towners. I'd be satisfied if this was my local grocer back home.”

“There is not better place to get your deli meat on the South side of the city, the prices are much less than the big chain grocery stores, the store is clean and easy to move around in, they often have sales on their beef and chicken. Pleasant cashiers Vegetables can be a bit more expensive, but its a good place to stop and do some middle of the week top ups. I am sure it's also appreciated by the (older) citizens living in the area”

“Some good prices given the cost of food but the franchise is profiting huge on human need to eat to get by. Independent owner probably has to tow the franchise line.”

“I love that The Real Canadian Superstore has not only food, but they have pretty much everything we need. Starting with our eating needs, clothing needs and of our personal hygiene needs. I ♥️ TRCS. I give TRCS ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐'s!!”

“I love going to Metro. They have a great selection of products there. Sure other larger conglomerates may have more selection when it comes to international choices, but they have enough to pick from to get what you need. The produce is great quality, I have to cover my eyes and rush past the fresh cakes and pastries to avoid buying something yummy there. Sometimes though my waistline suffers. The carrot cake with coconut flakes and any cheesecake. ? I would also like to point out that you do not have to dig out money to use a cart. This can be really frustrating when you are not prepared or someone in your household has cleaned out your change from your car and you now have to carry a tiny basket around the store that weighs way too much. True story here. Anyway back to Metro. The staff seem really friendly I do see them helping others. Some visits I feel a little ignored at the fish counter. Maybe they are giving me time to browse or they simply can’t see me. I’m kinda short. All in all I love shopping there and will continue to do so.”

“A produce associate name Jordan looked for me to give me an item that was unavailable after he found it. To my happy reaction he said \\\" I figured you might still be in the store shopping.\\\" This is the best customer service experience I've ever had in a grocery store. It is also very clean and the items are pretty easy to find.”

“A bit pricier than other stores but I think the quality of the products are also good. The one special thing about this store is that in the kitchen area there are plenty of ready to eat meals are available from variety of salads to noodles and samaosa's.”

“Megan P is the absolute best! The service is just not the same when she isn’t working. She always is so friendly and makes my drinks so perfect. Best in the city! I love how she will recommend new things. I’m always disappointed when she isn’t working as I know my drinks won’t be as good.”
