“One of the secluded spots in Toronto away from the hustle bustle and police sirens. You can unwind here and do your own work and no one will disturb you. Coffee is pretty good as well. You can expect to spend quality time here and enjoy the lush greenery that the cafe has created.”

“We make an annual trip to buy potted geraniums for our condo balcony and always look forward to the outing. For years we went to a very large nursery that is no longer in business so we have had to look around for a good substitute. Today we tried another nuersery but they neither had what we were looking for nor seemed to care whether we shopped there or not. Not only did Davenport Garden Centre have exactly what we were looking for but the customer service was absolutely excellent. The extremely pleasant young woman who helped us actually carried our purchases well down the street where we had parked and loaded them into our car for us. We intend to recommend Davenport to our friends and neighbours and we know where we will be shopping next year.We would recommend”

“Purchased a Stylish single bowl undermount stainless steel kitchen sink for my newly renovated kitchen and I am so happy with the product and the way it looks like. My contractor was surprised with the look of it while installing it. Highly recommend this product.”

“Came in here to find an item and I left feeling like I was part of the family! Needed to find some outdoor HDX garbage cans that were in the back the staff took the time to hear me out and track down what I was looking for.Bano (amazing woman and staff member) helped me with the products I needed and provided me so much valuable advice on products, service and programs (Pro Xtra); this was invaluable and something that has never been brought up with me.When I made my payment I donated a couple of dollars to a childrens initiative. When I was leaving the store with my item, my receipt was checked and the staff member that checked it thanked me so genuinely for making the donation! While I was not looking for any sort of thanks - the sincereity of the thanks was another positive sign of the people and culture at this store.Looking forward to making this my go to Home Depot as it is hands and feet apart of any of the other Home Depots I have been to!Easily accessible via TTC and a big parking lot.”

“I know there are a lot of different ratings of this place but my experience coming here over 5 projects and 2 years I have always had a great experience. Staff are mostly helpful and often above and beyond helpful. Most of the time what I'm looking for is in stock, which is why i initially started coming here over home depot. Price is marginally more than home depot but for me, home depot is a guaranteed frustrating experience with either none of what I need in stock or just jumbled in random spots and mostly staff not knowing where anything is or what it is for. The professionalism at Lowes, especially for the higher level employees is maybe the best I have ever seen in any retail environment. Like today a cashier noted I qualified for a save the GST discount over two different purchases and the customer service staff worked through it though it was kind of tedious to refund and reenter all of that, the hardware manager also priced/marked down something for me and noted that the other similar items I had got wouldn't be a good choice for outdoor applications, the lumber guys offered to help me load some stuff and encouraged me to swap some lumber out that I didn't feel good about and also walked me through the basics to look for in structural lumber. So while your mileage may vary, I can say for me this place is 110% and I love the people here. It's been a refreshing experience having this place to turn to for building projects. Shout out to Trevor, manager of the hardware department, even though you said you aren't the boss, you are definitely the Boss. Thank you very much for your help today and to the rest of the staff although I didn't happen to catch names. French Canadian (?) sounding lady was also quite on top of things over there in customer service.”

“Hardworking store manager and courteous staff. On my last visit a few Sundays ago, I needed to purchase one sheet of untreated plywood and have it cut. The taller staffer at the Pro counter called on a colleague named Raymond (Rayman -- sorry if misspelled) to help us. He must've been busy. We waited a while. The polite staffer minding the counter was apologetic for the delay, which was nice. When he did arrive, he went over and above in helping us with the small purchase. Turns out, he was the store manager. By the time we finished at the checkout, Raymond was already outside on the forklift, hauling some skids. Keep up the great work! Your efforts don't go unnoticed.”

“If you're looking for a new washer and dryer, I highly recommend this Home Depot. Go look for Debra who works in this area. Home Depot is lucky to have her! Debra helped us to navigate all the different options that are out there with helpful tips and things to watch out for. While she won't tell you exactly which one to buy, she'll help you trim your choices. Our basement space is quite narrow and she was quick to point out that older and newer machines have different dimensions. As it turns out, older machines were built with a more rectangular shape (I'm paraphrasing here!) even though they appear quite square which is how we were able to fit it down our stairs. Newer models are more square so we had to be really careful to find one that would fit down the stairs to get into the basement! Debra was an absolute gem and really made the shopping experience far less stressful! Now, in general, I will say, I've never had any issues with this Home Depot. Every staff person we've ever interacted with in the store has either helped us directly or has found someone in the appropriate department who can help us figure out our home reno issues.Happy to have this Home Depot around!”

“We thought about adding some green to our home and decided to head to our local nursery. The nursery offered a great selection of seasonal and perennial plants, as well as pots, soils, and pesticides. However, this place is not cheap. Every single one of our visits ended with a fee around $100-300. Their customer service is okay. Whenever we try to call online, we are immediately sent to voicemail. I would recommend this place if you have the funds for it.”

“5 star for Deepaig! I am horrible at keeping receipts so I was happy when they introduced Pro and it kept my purchase history. However, it turns out that they can’t find my purchases from my method of payment when I use Pro (ie. it says I didn’t use my credit card when I did). All this was made better by Deepaig, who is wonderfully patient and walked me through how to get my return done without hassle - I appreciate the help!”

“I think Lowe's has more choices in some areas than home depot. In my case I needed a flexible p trap. Home depot's didn't have and Lowe's did. So kudos to Lowe's”
