We were there again today and they let us know that the coupon we were using was better than the seniors discount day. I typically only buy food from here when it is on sale. I do find it a little overpriced but that's not the store's fault. When it's on sale it's usually a good deal.”

    “This is one of the more expensive grocery stores in Elmira. The quality is pretty good and it is very clean. Most of the staff is very friendly which is a plus! You always see the same faces which is so nice. They do however, need to post the hours of some of the service departments. For instance, I have my child’s soccer until 7:30 pm. They close at 9, and if you go anytime after 8, there’s no one at the deli or bakery counter able to help which is incredibly inconvenient for busy families. It should be posted somewhere that departments requiring service close earlier than the store itself. It’s getting ridiculous being your only option for sliced deli meat in town.”

I wanted to pick out some flowers for some pictures the next day and she suggested wet packing them which helped them last. She arranged the bouquet in such a pretty way that i couldnt stop gushing over it— exactly what i wanted.”

    “I would like to recognize a wonderful staff member at FreshCo. I believe she works in the dairy section, as she was stocking chocolate milk when I saw her. Even though she appeared to be busy with her own duties, she immediately came over to help when I was trying to reach a heavy case of sports drinks from the top shelf. The item was quite heavy, but she handled it quickly, professionally, and with a positive attitude. She did not hesitate to assist, and her kindness made my shopping experience much easier and more enjoyable. Excellent customer service like this deserves recognition. Thank you for your hard work and for going above and beyond to help customers. FreshCo is fortunate to have employees like her.”

    “I visited Kishki a few weeks ago for the first time. I found many interesting food products, which I would not find in the large grocery stores. I came away with some sumac spice, and some roasted chick peas (which have been great on salads). This grocery store is nearby and I would not have found out about it if I had not been on the Savineasy platform. Savineasy showed me the deals at Kishki and I could compare prices with local partners. Check them out too! I look forward to visiting Kishki again, and exploring what they have to offer.”

    Kroger is spending $112 million to build two new stores and renovate 15 existing locations across central and northwest Ohio. The company calls it a "record-breaking" commitment to the region. The two new Kroger Marketplace stores will rise in Canal Winchester and Delaware, Ohio, each costing roughly $30 million to build. Kroger broke ground on the Canal Winchester location on March 19 at the southeast corner of Diley Road and Greengate Boulevard. The 118,000-square-foot store is expected to open in late fall 2026 and will create around 250 jobs.

    Loblaw Companies Limited is putting serious money into its retail network this year. Canada's largest food and pharmacy retailer announced it will spend $2.4 billion in 2026 to open new stores, renovate existing locations and strengthen its supply chain. The company plans to open 70 new stores in 2026. That includes 34 Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix pharmacies and care clinics, along with 31 hard-discount No Frills and Maxi grocery stores. On top of the new openings, Loblaw will renovate another 191 stores and continue construction on a roughly 1.2 million-square-foot automated distribution center in Caledon, Ontario.
