“Yesterday I was at my next door neighbors' for our couples' book group and admired a beautifully colorful piece of wall art. Karen told me it came from Ala Kalika, as did a lovely lamp she showed me upstairs. The store is located inside the Claycomb Plaza Mall. It is part of the adjacent Ignition Galley and I'm looking forward to visiting both when Nina and I are in Ashland this summer. The rugs they carry are from Silk Road Trading Company and the lamps and other objects are from all over the world. What I could see on their website was intriguing and attractive and I'm looking forward to admiring it up close. They are closed Mondays and open 11-6 Tuesday to Saturday and 12-5 Sundays. This is a mall Nina and I used to visit regularly to shop, but once the store that was our primary draw closed we rarely went there. Sounds like we're going to have to remedy that.”

They have an excellent collection of semi-precious stones and jewelry at reasonable prices, and we shopped to our hearts content, buying a fossil pendant for my wife, and one for her mother. The kids (and I) enjoyed digging through the (free) rock and mineral box. Service from Joseph, one of the most knowledgeable salespeople I've ever encountered, was excellent. Full-year net revenue jumped 16.8% to $2.4 billion, and net income rose to $121.7 million from $87.9 million the prior year. CEO Bill Barton told analysts the company plans to open about 20 new stores in 2026 and sees a path to more than 500 locations by 2035, roughly two and a half times its current 209-store footprint across 26 states.
