Mud Bay
110 NW Sisemore St, BendI just had a great experience at this Mud Bay. I didn't catch their names, but the two ladies working (12pm 6/16) were prime examples of Mud Bay culture.
As someone who knows the Mud Bay culture really well, (former employee) I was impressed that those two Muddies really represented what Mud Bay is supposed to be all about.
I had only been into this store one time before. The experience was absolutely disappointing and I really didn't want to come back in after that. If I wrote a review after that visit, I would have given Mud Bay a one star review.
It has been two or three years since I last visited the store. I took a chance and went in to check out products.
Within less than 30 seconds I was welcomed in by a warm friendly face. I was asked if there was anything I needed help with. I was just looking to browse at that moment, but I noticed the Muddies were still attentive and ready to help at any moment. The check out process was great. A Muddy immediately stepped to the register. She asked the typical questions retail employees ask to make sure the customer had a good visit. But she also was more friendly and personable She went the extra mile.
I wasn't planning on saying anything about my negative experience, but the ladies were so nice that I wanted to share with them how much I appreciated them for providing the excellent Mud Bay experience that should be a dependable thing when shopping at Mud Bay.
Both ladies were sympathetic about my last trip and thanked me for giving Mud Bay another chance. I was even given enough sample treats for my four giant breed dogs. Last time I asked for enough samples for each dog. My question was sort of swept to the side and I received one Biscuit as a sample treat. ??
Anyway, I know this review is getting way too long. I'm just really happy with my experience and had to share. Those two ladies definitely made up for it. I think they deserve a raise. ?

Bendy Dog
224 NW Oregon Ave, BendOn trips, I always have to bring something home for the family and that especially includes the pup! A friend of mine met up with me with a bag of goodies from here so he took me back to do the same. Bendy Dog is a nice little pet shop in downtown Bend, on a street with other fun little shops and restaurants. They're mostly open during the day and sell toys, harnesses/leashes, food, and treats. Prices I felt were high but reasonable for a small shop and good quality items. I was recommended a bag of bison liver treats and thought the pup would enjoy them. I had no idea they would make him go nuts whenever I open the bag! I like that it was a local company from Colorado and they were fresh. If you're looking for a fun pet shop in Bend, this is a great spot.

Bend Pet Express & Dog Wash
420 NE Windy Knolls Dr, BendWe picked up the Spindrift No Pull Harness, made by this store in Bend. They are amazing and well thought out. We’ve had trouble fitting harnesses because of the deep chest on Poodle, but standard martingales would choke my youngest who is still a puller. The design of the spindrift harnesses gives so many points of adjustment they fit both of my poodles who have significantly different builds. And they work fabulously for communicating leash pressure without causing discomfort like others we’ve tried. Very happy with them so far, although the silky material does seem prone to a little snagging. I’ll have to keep an eye out how fast they wear down. Either way, we’ll probably just get another one because I’m they impressed!

They are just genuinely kind folks and always really pleasant and helpful. Typical kinda people you meet in Bend usually...nice to spend money in a place that has good folks working in it.

875 SE 3rd St Ste 104, BendToday was the first time we used Pet Salon of Bend, and we couldn't be happier. We have searched groomers and their reviews for weeks, and settled on Terri. She has some great pictures on her website and we used a couple of those to show her what we wanted and then Terri asked us some important questions about our little guy - things we never would of thought to ask but were really important. Jack came home smelling great with a perfect cut and most importantly he was happy! Not stressed or upset, he had energy and you could tell he felt so good and pampered. Jack doesn't like getting his legs brushed or groomed, Terri noticed and still did a great job on his legs and feet. He doesn't particularly like to be put into a kennel when he's done either, like his old groomer use to do and when my husband got there to pick him up, he was sound asleep, laying on the floor next to Terri as she groomed another dog! We have absolutely found our new groomer!

I’ve been taking my dogs here for around 10 years. Maybe more. I’ve never had one single bad experience. Ever. The owner is kind and loves the animals as if there were her own. Please reconsider before only believing all of the negative reviews. This is someones’s livelihood here. My doggies have always been happy and so have I.

I have literally never left a review for anywhere in my life, but I'm feeling very thankful for the care my puppy (10.5 year old puppy) has received here and I want to share! Shaina was welcoming and gentle with my sweet Coco, who is still recovering from a mini surgery she had around her eye with some remaining stitches. Shaina and her team were able to safely work around it and leave Coco looking so fresh and clean! Not to mention I think it's one of the best haircuts Coco has ever had (very even, her feet are perfect, everything as requested). Thank you!

Get your self-wash appt. go in, pay money, get a nice stainless step in tub for your pooch, lather on all kinds of skin friendly, non-harsh soap, rinse, follow with some conditioner, rinse, use the air-dryer to poof him up, and bounce with your clean critter. That's what's up. Cool people too.

Our goldendoodle has seen Dr. Jess Casey for routine exams and a few acute illnesses and every time we’ve been in, we feel so cared for her and the rest of the staff. We’ve reached out for last minute appointments and Brittany and the support staff have accommodated us with same or next day appointments and great follow-up support. Dr. Casey truly takes her time, offers both conventional and alternative treatments, and looks at symptoms through a very balanced and holistic lens. We’ve noticed significant improvements in our pup’s health particularly with her digestion. Our pup is normally very nervous at the vet but she’s been much more comfortable going to Elevate and they make every effort to help animals feel calm and comfortable. Plus, they have the best treats our pup loves! Thank you, Elevate!

Tim met the dogs (and the handlers!) where they were while ensuring everything ended on a positive note. We appreciated his gentle hand and commend him for offering multiple ways to follow through with a drill for the handler to understand it's goal. I'll be back with my spaniel again, as well as my golden.

25 NW Minnesota Ave, BendThump is a great local cafe. While I was there (7am on a Friday), I saw no less than twelve people walk in who were on a first name basis with the baristas. Additionally, our barista gave us a coupon for a free 12oz drink because it took more than five minutes for us to get the breakfast sandwich, it didn't seem like a long time to me but that is just good service. The music was tasteful and not too loud which helped cultivate the calm and pleasant ambiance. The pastries were delightful, so good in fact that I was unable to get a photo due to my inability to delay taking a bite as soon as we sat down. We had the ham and gruyère croissant and the plain croissant. The breakfast sandwich was great; the homemade English muffins were dense but not heavy, the bacon was perfectly thick and crispy, the egg was well done, and the pesto mayo tied it all together. The Latte was solid, I regret not trying the syrups which I found out were homemade after I had ordered, it seemed as though everyone who ordered after me got the cardamom syrup in their drinks. My girlfriend got the hemp milk latte, unsweetened. She is a matcha snob and was pleased with her order, which is a rarity for coffee forward places such as Thump. Stop at Thump if you're in Bend.

The coffee is excellent, the atmosphere is warm, and the kindness behind the counter makes it even better. And if you stop in and see Kris, be sure to ask him about his (healthy...ish) Batman obsession — it’s worth the conversation!

Each time I go, I am greeted warmly and given some basic instructions, then I get to play with a bunch of the cutest kitties around. If you are someone who loves hanging out with cats (or are looking to adopt), this is the spot to go. I cannot recommend them enough. 20 bucks for almost an hour of love and snuggles is worth it every time.

Horizon Pet Cremation
1723 NE Lytle St, BendI don't have words to describe how amazing these people are. My best friend and partner for 15 years finally lost his fight and I was indescribably broken about it. Eric not only took care of everything but, went out of his way to go above and beyond. I couldn't imagine going anywhere else for the furry family we are graced with. Even after we move, I personally, will make the drive back to Bend. These people care far more than I can say.Eric you are an amazing human being and forever now a friend.
