Mud Bay
110 NW Sisemore St, BendI just had a great experience at this Mud Bay. I didn't catch their names, but the two ladies working (12pm 6/16) were prime examples of Mud Bay culture.
As someone who knows the Mud Bay culture really well, (former employee) I was impressed that those two Muddies really represented what Mud Bay is supposed to be all about.
I had only been into this store one time before. The experience was absolutely disappointing and I really didn't want to come back in after that. If I wrote a review after that visit, I would have given Mud Bay a one star review.
It has been two or three years since I last visited the store. I took a chance and went in to check out products.
Within less than 30 seconds I was welcomed in by a warm friendly face. I was asked if there was anything I needed help with. I was just looking to browse at that moment, but I noticed the Muddies were still attentive and ready to help at any moment. The check out process was great. A Muddy immediately stepped to the register. She asked the typical questions retail employees ask to make sure the customer had a good visit. But she also was more friendly and personable She went the extra mile.
I wasn't planning on saying anything about my negative experience, but the ladies were so nice that I wanted to share with them how much I appreciated them for providing the excellent Mud Bay experience that should be a dependable thing when shopping at Mud Bay.
Both ladies were sympathetic about my last trip and thanked me for giving Mud Bay another chance. I was even given enough sample treats for my four giant breed dogs. Last time I asked for enough samples for each dog. My question was sort of swept to the side and I received one Biscuit as a sample treat. ??
Anyway, I know this review is getting way too long. I'm just really happy with my experience and had to share. Those two ladies definitely made up for it. I think they deserve a raise. ?

Bendy Dog
224 NW Oregon Ave, BendOn trips, I always have to bring something home for the family and that especially includes the pup! A friend of mine met up with me with a bag of goodies from here so he took me back to do the same. Bendy Dog is a nice little pet shop in downtown Bend, on a street with other fun little shops and restaurants. They're mostly open during the day and sell toys, harnesses/leashes, food, and treats. Prices I felt were high but reasonable for a small shop and good quality items. I was recommended a bag of bison liver treats and thought the pup would enjoy them. I had no idea they would make him go nuts whenever I open the bag! I like that it was a local company from Colorado and they were fresh. If you're looking for a fun pet shop in Bend, this is a great spot.

Mud Bay
20520 Robal Ln, BendI just went to Mud Bay for the first time, and Tommy and Angela were so helpful! I vaguely described things my dog loved, and every question was answered so well it felt like they knew my dog. We got a play toy, two different sized yak cheese chew sticks, and some yak cheese puffs that Angela recommended. Dave my dog loves the puffs (see photo). He also peed on their display, which they cleaned up (despite my protests to do it for them) with a glad heart, and even gave me advice for what to expect after he gets snipped. Really well-rounded employees that love their job and our pets! Thanks Tommy and Angela!

Bend Pet Express & Dog Wash
420 NE Windy Knolls Dr, BendWe picked up the Spindrift No Pull Harness, made by this store in Bend. They are amazing and well thought out. We’ve had trouble fitting harnesses because of the deep chest on Poodle, but standard martingales would choke my youngest who is still a puller. The design of the spindrift harnesses gives so many points of adjustment they fit both of my poodles who have significantly different builds. And they work fabulously for communicating leash pressure without causing discomfort like others we’ve tried. Very happy with them so far, although the silky material does seem prone to a little snagging. I’ll have to keep an eye out how fast they wear down. Either way, we’ll probably just get another one because I’m they impressed!

875 SE 3rd St Ste 104, BendToday was the first time we used Pet Salon of Bend, and we couldn't be happier. We have searched groomers and their reviews for weeks, and settled on Terri. She has some great pictures on her website and we used a couple of those to show her what we wanted and then Terri asked us some important questions about our little guy - things we never would of thought to ask but were really important. Jack came home smelling great with a perfect cut and most importantly he was happy! Not stressed or upset, he had energy and you could tell he felt so good and pampered. Jack doesn't like getting his legs brushed or groomed, Terri noticed and still did a great job on his legs and feet. He doesn't particularly like to be put into a kennel when he's done either, like his old groomer use to do and when my husband got there to pick him up, he was sound asleep, laying on the floor next to Terri as she groomed another dog! We have absolutely found our new groomer!

I’ve been taking my dogs here for around 10 years. Maybe more. I’ve never had one single bad experience. Ever. The owner is kind and loves the animals as if there were her own. Please reconsider before only believing all of the negative reviews. This is someones’s livelihood here. My doggies have always been happy and so have I.

I have literally never left a review for anywhere in my life, but I'm feeling very thankful for the care my puppy (10.5 year old puppy) has received here and I want to share! Shaina was welcoming and gentle with my sweet Coco, who is still recovering from a mini surgery she had around her eye with some remaining stitches. Shaina and her team were able to safely work around it and leave Coco looking so fresh and clean! Not to mention I think it's one of the best haircuts Coco has ever had (very even, her feet are perfect, everything as requested). Thank you!

Get your self-wash appt. go in, pay money, get a nice stainless step in tub for your pooch, lather on all kinds of skin friendly, non-harsh soap, rinse, follow with some conditioner, rinse, use the air-dryer to poof him up, and bounce with your clean critter. That's what's up. Cool people too.

1820 NW Monterey Pines Dr, BendI am writing to thank the Urgent Care Clinic at the Veterinary Referral Center of Central Oregon for the outstanding care they gave to my 17-year-old cat Opus.
Opus has several age-related issues, including hyperthyroidism and hypertension (high blood pressure), so when I saw a swelling on the right side of his face while I was on vacation in Central Oregon, I contacted my home veterinarians and asked if they thought he should receive urgent care...and they said “yes!”
I had heard great things about the Urgent Care Clinic at VRC, so I took Opus to their west side office, where I was immediately and graciously greeted in their lovely waiting room...which offered snacks and beverages, in case the waiting time was extended!
The waiting time actually quite brief, and Opus was quickly and expertly evaluated by Dr. Rosemary Traylor, whose thorough diagnostic process considered his pre-existing conditions and his advanced age. In the end, Dr. Traylor suspected a tooth abscess, and her lab tests confirmed that diagnosis. She was able to extract some of the accumulated infection and reduce the swelling, and upon her direction, her technician Nicki immediately administered Opus’ first dose of antibiotics and pain relievers.
Both Dr. Traylor and Nicki handled Opus with the gentle and expert care that an elderly and infirm cat needs in order to successfully recover from a menacing infection, and within 24 hours, his condition had improved remarkably. In addition, I received a call the next day from Paige at the clinic, inquiring about Opus’ condition, and assuring me that their records of our visit would be forwarded to my home veterinarians and also to the veterinary dentist in our community.
I feel that the VRC Urgent Care Clinic provided the absolute best care that I could have obtained for my beloved Opus, and all for a very reasonable price. I give the VRC Urgent Care Clinic my highest recommendation!

Took him in after my lil guy had been sick for a few days. They held him for observation only a few hours and already had him diagnosed correctly. We both slept through the night last night!! Tim met the dogs (and the handlers!) where they were while ensuring everything ended on a positive note. We appreciated his gentle hand and commend him for offering multiple ways to follow through with a drill for the handler to understand it's goal. I'll be back with my spaniel again, as well as my golden.

Don't ask if they do the consommé with the birria tacos! When I did, the answer was "we don't serve them that way" like they're too good for that? Is consommé an American thing? Oops! I preferred the carne asada tacos anyway. And I tried the avocado sauce because other reviewers liked it and wow it's spicy! Don't dump it in your rice like me- I couldn't eat the rice after that!

Playful Paws Cat Café

Each time I go, I am greeted warmly and given some basic instructions, then I get to play with a bunch of the cutest kitties around. If you are someone who loves hanging out with cats (or are looking to adopt), this is the spot to go. I cannot recommend them enough. 20 bucks for almost an hour of love and snuggles is worth it every time.

Eric not only took care of everything but, went out of his way to go above and beyond. I couldn't imagine going anywhere else for the furry family we are graced with.
