I have had several groomers over the last decade who tout themselves including local businesses as being the best and winning awards. Never been impressed. Until my wife stumbled across these two women who take so much pride in putting forth the best work for your fur babies. They are patient and diligent with every trim. They laugh and have fun and enjoy the work they do which is so transparent in the work they put forth. Look no further than Dakota and Ivy. They love your fur babies possibly more than you and you’ll just have to live with that, but don’t worry as you hug and love on your fresh clean beautifully cut dogs you might come close. They pamper your pooches and share photos of the fun they are having. Forget every other groomer you have ever tried and use these women. Your dogs deserve the best. Give it to them.

1397 Northwest 6th St B, RedmondAs many of you know, getting a grooming appointment for your dog in central Oregon can be quite the chore, with many businesses simply not accepting new clients, or booked out for 1-2 months. I took a chance contacting Bark Avenue, based on their good reviews, and they were able to get my smelly beast in within a week. He is older, with progressive weakness in his back end. This can make grooming more difficult, but they were very courteous and accommodating in working with him, and his haircut, when I picked him up, was fantastic. I highly recommend them.

I'm writing about an experience I had 20 minutes or so ago. I'm looking to board my cat so I can go on a river trip and couldn't find her vaccination record. I emailed Snip Central around 1940hrs and received a photo of the record in less than 10 minutes! That's a truly awesome turnaround!

While it has only been one day since we have had him back he seems much calmer and can't wait to train with him in the field. 122 SW 5th St, RedmondIt’s surprisingly hard to find anyone in town who does an Affogato, but I discovered this little coffee cart has ice cream on hand. I asked for a decaf espresso over ice cream, and they had just enough left for one serving.
Perfect. Destiny had arrived.
Then the shot was pulled.
There was some grumbling and hesitation behind the counter, and a moment later the barista came over and told me the shot hadn’t extracted properly and he didn’t feel comfortable serving it.
This was a problem because it was the last of their decaf.
And honestly? I was impressed.
They could have dumped that questionable little shot over ice cream, charged me, and sent me on my way. I probably never would have known the difference.
I told them I’d rather have a quality shot of something I didn’t prefer over a crappy shot of something I did.
Unfortunately, it was 1 PM, I don’t handle caffeine particularly well, and they were out of decaf.
So naturally, I chose violence.
I went with a full double shot of the unrefined premium stuff.
And then they didn’t even charge me.
At this point, I was seriously impressed. These guys have standards, they care about what they serve, and apparently they’re willing to take a hit rather than serve something they know isn’t right.
I’m writing this review while enjoying my fully caffeinated Affogato. My head is tingling, my heart has filed a formal complaint, and I expect to time-travel approximately 200 years into the future sometime this afternoon 😳
The moral: do the right thing, even when the customer probably wouldn’t know the difference.
These guys did. And that’s exactly the kind of coffee shop I want to support.

Coffee was strong and sweet, just the way I like it. Customer service was great. Cute little stand with funny decals/signs on the door. Great to grab a coffee and check out the gorgeous town.
