371 East Cascade Avenue, SistersWe just moved here and my Pup got really sick. They got us right in and were so nice, they called to check on him multiple times throughout the weekend. The medications and food worked!!!!!
The Vet was so compassionate and clearly loved Animals. He explained everything perfectly and gave multiple options.
The only negative I can say is they took him out of the room to check him out and to determine treatment. I definitely trusted them but its like when the doctors try to take your baby out of the room after delivery . I'm confident you could probably say no to that.

Black Butte Veterinary Clinic
703 N Larch St, SistersThey managed to get me in for a same-day appointment to remove some cheat grass from my dog's ear, and both the receptionist and the doctor were very kind to both me and my dog. And, although I was quoted a price when I made the appointment that included sedation, I was very happy that Dr. Steve first tried removing the cheat grass without sedation--and succeeded! That meant that I got out of there for half of what I expected to have to pay, and more importantly, my dog didn't have to deal with being sedated. I also liked that I was able to be in the room with my dog during the procedure (which is becoming less common at other vets over the last few years, I've noticed--and causes unnecessary stress to the dog...and by extension, to me.) Very happy with the whole experience.

523 US-20, SistersCan't say enough about High Camp Taphouse. The welcoming atmosphere is only surpassed by the delicious food, the kind of delicious that you crave after you've had it. Specifically my go-to items are the Yeti Strings (extra green sauce please), the Veggie Momo (yes, we eat meat and all the momo are great, but if you haven't tried the veggie, try them!), and the Kima (when he first added it to the menu I had it three times in one week.). And, if you like a little heat, don't forget the smokey chili oil. All my friends know that when they visit Sisters we hit High Camp.

171 E Main Ave, SistersThe burger was phenomenal. The bowls were okay, too much pineapple. Service was pretty fast, despite it being a really busy Saturday afternoon.
Tip: I suggest ordering your meal to-go, even if you're dining in, so that you can get your meal served in a clean, single-use container. There is a really strong residual taste of dish soap/detergent on the wooden bowls they use that ruins the food.

In an era of poor customer service becoming more and more common - I literally can not express how amazing ALL the workers at BOTH shops are! Incredibly friendly and helpful and so happy to share their foods! I had to tell them if they kept offering to share I wouldn’t be hungry enough to order and try one of the incredible sandwiches on their menu. The smoked cheeses and meats are all amazing! We tried a cold turkey sandwich and it was refreshing and delicious and plenty big to share! It also comes with chips AND a chocolate chip cookie! So awesome! Can’t wait to come back! What a great original place like stepping into a family’s kitchen! And you’re welcomed like family! Just all around Amazing!

161 North Elm Street Suite 101, SistersI’ve been stopping by the R spot for years. Wish they had one in Bend. Great Italian food. Just calling your order and pick it up on your way through town. I always get way more than I can eat so I can throw some in the freezer. I’m gonna miss this guy when he retires.

It's not as much of a sports bar venue as other options in Sisters, but I like the atmosphere and the food better at this place. If you haven't been here, you should give it a try!

Angeline's Bakery & Cafe
121 West Main Avenue, SistersThis place was okay. I am gluten free, so I got a variety of gluten free treats and everything was just okay. Marionberry cake was dense and a bit dry, brownie was almost bitter (?), Rice Krispie treat had such a thick layer of chocolatey topping I could barely tell it was a Rice Krispie treat, and the blueberry muffin was really delicious if you got a bite with blueberries but it was so stuck to the wrapper and I had to basically scoop the muffin out of it.
My partner had the breakfast burrito and said that was great!
They have a bunch of seating outside at the back of the bakery and that was nice and shaded, and we were the only ones out there.
Service was great too, the people working Saturday morning were all friendly and made conversation (we went before a rush).
It was nice to have a treat on vacation, but I was a bit underwhelmed.

The Open Door
303 West Hood Avenue, SistersEverything was unbelievable. The food had so much flavor and cooked to perfection. When you come, be sure to order a few things to sample as much as you can. The tomato bisque, the artichoke dip, the salads, pasta, and cocktails were all too notch. The outdoor seating was so peaceful and well shaded. We can’t wait to come back.

The Suttle Lodge & Boathouse
13300 US-20, SistersMy family adores this lodge. It is so much fun even just to visit for the day. The lake itself is beautiful and so fun to swim in and paddle on, the lodge does a great job of capturing that mid-century National Parks charm, and the food and cocktails are really phenomenal. Every time we visit, we have such a good time. It’s the perfect blend of outdoor adventure and relaxation. They have casual dining, upscale dining, swim docs, boat rentals, cabins (rustic or lux) and a souvenir shop.
