I stopped by right before closing on a last-minute mission to get a life vest for my dog before a camping trip this weekend. I walked in feeling like THAT customer who walks in right at closing ?, but Tina immediately made me feel welcome. I asked if I could bring my dog in to try on vests, and she said yes but also offered to bring a measuring tape out to the car if he was nervous, such a thoughtful touch.
She took the time to explain the differences between the two vests, asking great questions about our lifestyle and my dog's comfort with water and harnesses to make sure we left with the right fit. Such awesome and patient guidance.
And when I needed an extra hand with questions, Tina brought in Dylan, who was just as warm and helpful. Together, they made sure I left with everything I needed for my trip, no stress at all. Just a team that very much cares about their customers (and their dogs).
Ruffwear in Bend is lovely ☺️. Thank you Tina and Dylan for turning a stressful errand into a pawsitive experience. We'll be ready for the water this weekend because of you!

The Pet Salon of Bend
875 SE 3rd St, BendToday was the first time we used Pet Salon of Bend, and we couldn't be happier. We have searched groomers and their reviews for weeks, and settled on Terri. She has some great pictures on her website and we used a couple of those to show her what we wanted and then Terri asked us some important questions about our little guy - things we never would of thought to ask but were really important. Jack came home smelling great with a perfect cut and most importantly he was happy! Not stressed or upset, he had energy and you could tell he felt so good and pampered. Jack doesn't like getting his legs brushed or groomed, Terri noticed and still did a great job on his legs and feet. He doesn't particularly like to be put into a kennel when he's done either, like his old groomer use to do and when my husband got there to pick him up, he was sound asleep, laying on the floor next to Terri as she groomed another dog! We have absolutely found our new groomer!

Elevate Pet Wellness Center
1350 SE Reed Market Rd #202, BendI have now been to Elevate on multiple occasions. Repeatedly I am impressed and incredibly appreciative of their efforts. Working with dogs is no easy feat. Owners can be complicated. Dogs can't speak English and sometimes try to bite your head off. As someone who comes from a family who owns a dog care business and run a dog rescue, some places just have that IT factor. Elevate has the IT!
Special shoutout to Kaleigh. I've never met a Vet Tech who radiated the passion you'd only hope for from the person caring for your dog.
Dr. Jacoby & Sheen are well informed, have great bedside manners and have built a very respectable practice. The space is clean and good looking. The office staff are enthusiastic, helpful and very kind. Life happens and instead of being upset or punitive, they're collaborative and compassionate.

They will also send pictures if you ask them. Our little buddy has come back happy and healthy everytime. A big plus for us is that there are no dogs allowed, our little buddy does not do well with dogs around so he isn't stressed out when he stays. The training course was thorough and approachable, with friendly instructors. My dog loves going to daycare and I feel very confident leaving him there for the day. Unlike many other daycare facilities, they have a protocol for easing your dog into daycare, and assess for temperament and other factors before just sending your dog off into a herd. You can also tell that they just really love dogs here, and enjoy what they do!

Kindred Spirit Pet Care
60742 Bristol Way, BendI couldn't be happier to have found Martina and Kindred Spirit. My corgi gets 1 1/2 hour group hikes daily and gets to hang out with a pack of small dogs. Larger dogs are in a separate section of the yard and house and Neil gives them lots of love and exercise. I love that my corgi can roam around all day and leaps out of the car and races to Martina when I drop her off!

Tim met the dogs (and the handlers!) where they were while ensuring everything ended on a positive note. We appreciated his gentle hand and commend him for offering multiple ways to follow through with a drill for the handler to understand it's goal. I'll be back with my spaniel again, as well as my golden.

He not only quoted a very reasonable price but provided mouth watering selections, including Caprese Salad, Smoked Salmon, the largest Cinnamon Buns ever, varieties of Pancakes, Assorted Fruit, French Toast, Bacon, Sausage and three types of homemade Quiche. The “spread” was spectacular! I know this was not easy on his staff as it was Fathers Day weekend but they surpassed all of my expectations! I can’t thank Quinn and his staff enough!

I was happy to see it on the menu as it’s definitely a comfort food in Toulouse, and I’m moving there soon. Having a little taste of my second home in Bend was so wonderful. The baguette it was paired with was perfect. As were the croquettes we started with. I will say, the lemon tartelette was good, but the curd was under-set.
Service & ambiance was excellent, we will be back!

The sausage platter featured large sausages with accompanying kraut, onion and pickled apple. Tasty! I choose a flight of 4 beers: the saison, peppercorn with, wit, and sour. Peppercorn lacked a pepper taste, but overall the beers were well worth it!
