I come out once or twice each year from Ohio, and even if it is out of my way I rent from this location. My car is always ready and clean. The staff is helpfully and everyone smiles! I have always been given the car style of my choice. And the prices are way better than ten airport.”
“Carter A. at the front desk literally saved our day and a friend's wedding plans!! We had such a hard time trying to get a car with a Hertz that we made a reservation with 3 days in advance. We chose this location because it wasn't the airport and we didn't have a credit card we could use currently. We were able to use our debit card and Carter even saved us some money on our 3 day rental!! He was personable and so helpful. Hertz made us 2-3 hours late to the wedding but thanks to Carter we'll at least be there 😭😭. Also thank you to the gal with the blonde hair downstairs who was also so helpful, funny, and made picking up the car in the garage so smooth!!”

“I had such an awesome experience here! I got a ride to and from the auto shop I was working with through insurance, and when I arrived, I was curious about what rental options were available. The guy at the front desk asked if there was anything specific I was looking for. I said I was hoping for something hybrid or with good gas mileage in this economy, and he told me he’d love to upgrade me and lower the rate on an electric Mustang.
I had no idea how amazing that car was going to be! He told me he wanted me to actually enjoy my rental and sent me on my way. I wasn’t expecting to have such a great experience, and my week with the car was seriously awesome.

“Top notch van rental ! We’ve rented the van for 12 days, touring a lot of Oregon and Northern California. It’s been amazing. We got everything we needed in the van (blinds, cooking material, bedding, table and outside chairs), it was easy to ride, big enough for two and really comfortable. We cooked almost every single lunch and dinner in fantastic locations. Also, the rental staff is excellent, and we got a nice ride to Portland airport afterwards. Many, many thanks ! 100% recommended for road trips in Oregon and the area ! ?”
“I had an excellent experience with Allpro Autobody, The insurance company originally lowballed the value of my truck, but these guys at Allpro took the time to do a detailed, accurate estimate for free and went to bat for me. They knew exactly how to document everything properly and worked directly with the insurance adjuster to make sure nothing was missed.
Because of their professionalism and thoroughness, I ended up getting the full, fair value for my truck instead of the low offer I was first given. They were honest, transparent, and genuinely had my best interest in mind the entire time.
If you’re dealing with insurance after an accident and want someone on your side, I highly recommend this shop. They made a stressful situation much easier and saved me a lot of money.”

“My experience with the Downtown Portland Budget Rental Car location was GREAT. I am rather surprised by all of the negative reviews.
I rented a car from the Downtown Portland location 6/3 - 6/5. The man who checked me in was very nice, check in only took 10 minutes, and he gave me accurate, helpful advice. I did not catch his name.
He explained a temporary hold on my credit card (normal for any rental car agency) and that hold would go away a few days after I turned in the car. The hold disappeared normally and exactly as described. It was nice to have someone reiterate that.
The gentleman said that pre-paying tolls is not necessary if I plan to drive only in Oregon. He said that pre-paying tolls may be needed for tolls in Washington. I declined that option.
A previous online reservation had an option to pre-pay for gas and that preference imported into my 6/3 reservation. He removed that option from my 6/3 check-out AND told me how to update that option on my online profile.
The gentleman also reminded me when the office closed on 6/5 so I could avoid late / un-attended drop-off fees.
Checking in the car took even less time than checking it out.”

“I've been renting cars a few times a month to get groceries and stuff for my apartment and there's nothing negative I can say about the experience so far. For errands, the hourly rates end up making much more sense than going by the day elsewhere and there's no surprise $20 (or so) charge on the bill that I've seen in at least a few places. The only caveat is that their cars do rent quickly at some locations. I'm not the type to book as early as I probably should, and if you know you want a car at a set time a day in advance, it might be a good idea to reserve it instead of hoping it'll be there an hour before you're trying to get somewhere.”
