“I’ve lived in Corvallis for most of my adult life and really value having a place where I can browse in person, feel fabrics, and try things on...*especially since our little town doesn’t have a lot of department store options, and online shopping like Amazon just isn’t my first choice for that reason.
This is why I’m so grateful for our local TJ Maxx, and especially for one employee in particular, Karen ❤
Karen is in her fifties, with big, beautiful mermaid hair and a bit of an East Coast accent, and she brings such warmth and personality to every interaction.
Over the years, she has consistently been kind, attentive, and genuinely engaging with customers.
She has a rare ability to remember faces and little details, which makes EVERY visit feel personal and welcoming.
I recently moved away for a couple of years and saw her again today for the first time in a long while. She immediately lit up when she recognized me, remembered my business, asked about my wellbeing, and welcomed me with such sincerity.
Knowing I’ve been going through a quieter social season, she even offered a hug, which meant a lot and was deeply appreciated.
Karen truly makes the store feel special. I often leave feeling lighter and uplifted after running into her. It’s clear she takes pride in her work, and I also notice how she contributes to the store feeling organized, cared for, and running smoothly.
She’s one of those rare people who makes a simple shopping trip feel meaningful. I’m very grateful she’s part of our community, and I think she deserves a LOT of appreciation for the kindness and consistency she brings every day.🫶🏼”

“I've loved Ross stores forever... This one is okay but if you are trying on clothes on Saturday don't go in before 12. They only have one stall at the front working and the attendant at the back doesn't come in till later. Save yourself the trouble and come in later. But otherwise friendly cashier's! Pretty decent clothes/shoes variety. If you're looking for something specific and they don't have it go to the Albany store.”

“I found a simple, cute dress there and a carousel that matches one I've had since childhood. It was a clean and well-kept location with variety in the clothing, electronics, and shoes. I don't usually go to Goodwill, but I'll definitely return to this location.”
“I love their deli chicken. I live in Utah. At Smith's, the Fred Meyer equivalent, charge the exact same price as the Idaho & Oregon delis, but for whatever reason the quality is suspect. Half the time the chicken is burnt, old, dry & isn't worth the $9.99 for an 8 piece. Hopefully someone from the regional Kroger office sees this & act accordingly.”

“I took my 26 year old wedding ring to be sized up one size and the goldsmith recommended re-tipping the stones because of wear, and because it’s white gold they dipped it in Rhodium. Honestly after all of our beach vacations, gardening, working with my hands etc.. over the years I’m not sure how I didn’t lose a diamond. Anyway, it looked like a brand new ring! It is so beautiful, I can’t stop looking at it! My mom, who is not here anymore always trusted Fred Meyer Jewelers and now I do too 💯! My ring was serviced at the Corvallis location.”

“They are helpful and always punctual. I wanted to leave a feedback because I noticed that the pharmacy’s rating is low due to at least a year-old comments. People tend to leave comments for negative experiences, so there aren’t many recent ones. It seems like something must have changed on the management end. As a customer for 8 months, I haven’t had any issues during this time. Thanks!”
