94211 3rd St, Gold BeachJust had our third visit and I continue to learn new things about my dog from this veterinarian. My German Shepherd has the beginnings of kidney disease and Dr Barke explained everything in detail. She explained all my options for dealing with it. This vet will tell you what you need to know even if it's unpleasant information. She honestly cares about every dog. The whole staff are real advocates for your dog. I highly recommend this veterinarian. There is a real vet shortage in our area now. But even though Dr Barke is usually busy, they will take their time and give you a quality visit. Dr Barke has an expertise in ears. If your dog has any problems with their ears she's your vet. She can look at your dog's ears and tell if your dog has a food allergy.

Woggy's Fish n Chips
29900 Harbor Way, Gold BeachI've been traveling for the past 6 months. This was one of the places I visited during my travels and I still talk about it to this day. The fish tacos were fantastic! On par and better than I've had in San Diego. The sauce and slaw on the tacos was delicious. The rockfish was fresh. They catch what they cook. When they run out, they catch some more! I also had their clam chowder which was thinner than I'm used to but I really really liked that. The fish and chips were also great. The tartar sauce was absolutely the best tasting tartar sauce I've had. It was not your classic tartar sauce. It's house made and delicious. Long wait (30+ minutes) but worth it. That's the only negative to it and would usually bring it down a star for me but the food was so good have to give it 5 stars. You can walk around the harbor to look at the ocean if you like. The day I visited, they also had a friendly dog that many customers played with while waiting. The dog was very cute and friendly and had toys nearby you could use to play with them. They have an outdoor hand washing station for public use. Only outdoor seating available. I ate in our van with a nice view of the water. Many people ate on the flatbed of their trucks. They also had some picnic tables.

It was so amazing! We kept coming back to try different things off the menu all the way from Brookings Oregon (thirty minutes away).

The service was great, and we didn't have to wait long for the meal. The food was delicious! We'll definitely eat there again and try some other menu options, but next time we'll do takeout.

29975 Harbor Way, Gold BeachOn our way through town in Nov 2025 our favorite Gold Beach restaurant was closed for remodeling, so we decided to try the Port Hole Cafe. It has a nice location along the Rogue River, plenty of seating, and great service. It was all really good! We had the clam chowder, their special (halibut), and a tuna melt. The food was delicious, everything tasted fresh. We even tried the carrot cake for dessert; it was excellent. We'd definitely eat here again.

They take great care here, and the animals are kept in clean, well-maintained facilities. They love to let people visit and interact with the animals so they can get some human interaction.
