“A small and favorite spot of our family. Great for graphic novels! So many inclusive works, and a lovely reading nook for kiddos to have a quiet spot before picking something to take home. They also offer subscription boxes for monthly comics, but no discount on purchases with those. Staff are friendly and helpful with recommendations! We also love the illustrations done of staff (and Nick drew them)!”
“Awesome place if you like books, they have so much stuff it’s crazy, I added a picture of a shelf that was a bunch of different versions of tokens books. Crazy place but awesome 10/10. Also, the better comic books are in the children’s area.”

“Had a tarot card reading at Jan's and it was positive. I felt like it was what I needed to hear. Reader is there from 11 to 1 pm on Saturdays. Jan's also supports the community by showing other places of interest. Not an ordinary bookstore, great place to get books.”
“I used to go to Powell’s but I recently switched to Broadway books after hearing Anne Patchett rave about them :) They have a smaller collection and they’re a bit more expensive but I enjoy the experience more and the lovely employees are always up to chat about books. It’s a heavenly escape from the real world when I get to wander their books. They happily special order anything they don’t have in stock and I always see lots of regulars coming in for their orders. Today I overheard people chatting about the everybody reads book and I was happy to join the conversation. This is what I imagine a bookshop should be. Many thanks to Broadway books.”

“One of the only non yuppie stores around here, the whole street feels gentrified with most of the overpriced businesses (eyesores) this is a classic bookstore you can love that has lots of affordable new and mostly used books, and they have a variety, down the street there is a store that sells mostly cook books but small inventory and is again a yuppie store so that is just ugly and annoying.”
“This is a great store. For the last few years, we've been sending books to great nieces and nephews out of state. The staff at Annie Blooms have been wonderful helping us pick out books and better yet picking them out for us. The kids have loved them and equally as important, so have their parents.”

“Took my granddaughter here today so she could pick up some books for her bday. She loved it. It was our first time here. It's definitely a cool bookstore & so much more. She ended up getting 2 books a pen & a coin purse. We had a really good time. I would recommend this store if you love Manga or any kind of Japanese books.”
“I am not a reader, but my kids are, so every time i go to Powells, i feel welcome, and it does interest me to read more and start to, but i am not pushing it yet. But it's getting better. The other reason i love Powells employee here are just really nice, and they do care about what you need and what you're looking for. I hope they can continue that genuine concern and care for all their customers. I highly recommend powells and don't be shy to bring your young ones.”

“Loved it. As a English, German, French speaker, I appreciate that books in all languages are sorted into the shelves. I think there was good selection of Spanish and Italian and a smattering of other languages throughout. Powell's has its place, but there's nothing like a bookstore with the vibes of a great uncle's library, the one he's been assembling books since 1937.”
“Its the best used book store around the owners are the nicest people they have been around a while and know so much plus they give incredible value for used books so you can buy new ones with the store credit (and a very small fee for new purchases which is change ur paying for each book) i can't imagine Powells ever doing something so generous”

“I really liked how accommodating Deseret Book was. 4 of us went inside and chose CTR rings. The lady who helped us went through many different sizes and types for all four of us. In the end we all had gotten the rings we wanted. They have quite the variety of rings inside. Along with many other types LDS jewelry. I definitely recommend coming here.”
