“Participated in the fly fishing 101 class today and had fun learning how to cast, the difference between lines, types of lures, and overall neat tips and tricks to make fishing of all types easier. The class was free and there is a fly fishing 201 that I am excited for. Chris and Brian were kind and knowledgeable- couldn't have asked for a better experience.”
“First class suits, first class people and service.
These guys make you feel like family. Your event is “their” event. They bring a true sense of care and commitment to each part of the process.”
“When I tried on my order I had a few pieces that didn't fit but Bailey was super helpful in getting everything fixed. She even suggested alternative pieces that fit me better and were better aligned for the event I was going for. I'm super grateful for her help and experience.”
“Such a well curated and handsome little shop! I bought a gorgeous gaucho hat that I easily found in my size, and every sales associate we spoke with was impeccably dressed and incredibly helpful. I’m excited to stop by again soon! :)”
“NW Accent has the best Pacific NW apparel! The quality is top notch; soft and cozy materials while holding up great after multiple washes. I’ve also had custom shirts and hats made for my own business, and love them all! If you are in need of PNW apparel or custom items, check out this shop!”
“Exactly as it says - master tailor. I had the sleeves of a new sport coat shortened by another tailor who did a poor job, leaving the buttons too close to the edge - a way to ruin the look of an expensive sport coat.
I found Silvian at European Master Tailor, and he redid the sleeves perfectly. It was 100% worth the cost. His expertise and attention to detail are hard to find, and I highly recommend him.”
“I’ve been shopping at sellwood union for about 4 years now. My entire closet is from this shop!! They have the coolest staff, and many different sections with different curated vibes (I’ve found my favorite sellers and sections over the years). Everyone asks me where I get my clothes from and it’s here ;) (+ ton of good eats nearby)”
“One of the best curated stores for Men’s Apparel. Massive selection of Private Label & others Rick Owen, Pleasures, LANG, etc. Great guys behind the counter, great music & vibe. Spent a solid 3 hours in here. 1111 ✌?”
“This place has great vibes, great prices, and great inventory. The rooms just kept appearing and we spent over an hour just perusing!! Plus they have a little bookshelf with some bangers, a selection of funny repurposed trophies, and art! This place really has it all. You’ll regret not going here if you’re a thrifter, and even if you’re not! 5/5 stars.”
“I didn’t buy anything from there but my husband and I were lost. They pulled up a map and helped us by telling us exactly where to go. They let my husband use the bathroom and even noticed our bag with leftovers was leaking and ripping. They offered us a bag. Even though I wasn’t a customer I can tell how amazing their customer service is. Thank you so much for helping us.”
“5 star experience for my daughter’s FIRST SKATEBOARD! Devon was fantastic. 10/10 dude. It was late & he stayed past closing to help us. A lot of great information and got to commiserate over the good ol’ days of the 90’s. Educated us on the board & fully assembled it for us (very knowledgeable, very patient, very friendly and not in a weird way). Even gave my kid a free lesson at the end! Place has 5 stars for a reason. We’re just in town visiting but whether you’re new to Portland or a skate regular this is your one stop shop! Thanks so much Devon! Keep on keepin on man ?”
“The Cotopaxi store front in PDX has blown my expectations away when it comes to customer service. I have always felt welcome, and the help I need. I switched over to just purchasing Cotopaxi for hiking gear for the great products/color design, but more so the employees working at the PDX shop. I highly recommend && hope the head of company sees their hard work building long term customers.”
“Visited PDX years ago and love supporting small businesses—this place stood out. The ground floor has a well-organized selection of underwear and swimwear that’s easy to browse, while the upstairs offers a more adventurous vibe. If you’re shopping for men’s underwear, this is a solid place to start. It’s a bit on the pricey side, but worth it for the quality and selection.”
“Danny, Angie and the manager, Shawn have been so great helping me get the right fit for my suits! All my coworkers go to them and I’m excited to order from them as well!”
“I could tell the owner has a true passion in sneaker culture. Stopped by the store and the collection is crazy, tons of PEs, reminds me of the good old days. Chatted with the owner and he was super chill. Willing to let you hold any shoes in hand. Will stop by again!”
“Portland Outdoor Store, a venerable fixture in Portland, Oregon, celebrated its 100-year anniversary in 2019 with a series of memorable events and community gatherings. Established in 1919, the store has witnessed and adapted to a century of change, from the early 20th century’s burgeoning outdoor recreation scene to today’s expansive range of adventure sports. For its centennial, the store hosted a week-long festival featuring local bands, outdoor gear exhibitions, and talks by renowned adventurers. The celebrations were not just about looking back but also about promoting the future of outdoor exploration, with proceeds supporting local environmental initiatives.
When Portland Outdoor Store first opened its doors, the city was experiencing a cultural renaissance, with the Portland Rose Festival gaining prominence and the city's thriving arts scene making waves. The store’s opening coincided with an era of increased interest in the Pacific Northwest’s natural beauty, fueling a growing community of outdoor enthusiasts.
The store’s longevity and adaptation over the decades highlight its role in fostering Portland’s outdoor culture. Its 100-year celebration not only honored its past but also reinforced its commitment to encouraging future generations to explore and enjoy the great outdoors.”
“Made in Milwaukie is the epitome of a community minded store, uplifting local artists, and spearheading support/organizing many of the downtown events that showcase our sweet city. The charm and fun of this store is always enjoyable to check out for fun shirts, wall decor, stickers, cards and lots of other fun pieces! Don’t sleep on this place!”
“Fabian was extremely helpful. They were behind on tailoring (to not fault of their own. One of the tailors got sick) and I had to leave for a wedding two days after I was supposed to pick up my suit. I came into the store and talked with Fabian and he was able to help me with my specific situation and get my my suit on time. If you visit, ask for Fabian! Extremely knowledgable and friendly.”
“Noah,Kai and the crew were very helpful and accommodating for me, given the rush and amount of Customers at the store they were very patient and polite I appriciate that a ton!”
“I love the Muji store in Portland! They have such great products all around, but my favorite go-tos are definitely the pens, pencils, and stationery — the quality is always so good. There’s also a robot coffee-making machine in the store, which is super fun to see (I spotted one in the Vancouver location too!). Always a great place to browse and pick up a few essentials.”
“I came into Portland, Oregon for a work conference and while walking around town I stopped in to see what Michael Allen's mens store had that was different. First, Jake Houston zeroed in what I liked within 10 minutes. He was the consummate professional. DIFFERENT I say because this haberdashery has exquisite taste in mens clothes. TY Jake for all your help!”
“Mark and Ann are exceptional at what they do and that's just a fact.
I had a custom suit designed and tailored to my specifications, size and shape for an upcoming wedding.
I experienced some frustrations specifically with regard to the time I was told it would take versus the time it actually took. However, my dress shirt, trousers and jacket were all overnighted to my destination just in time for the wedding in a state that was perfectly acceptable for the occasion.
Minor finishing touches (functional sleeve buttons) and alterations were needed after the fact but the slight imperfections were not something one would notice without a closer inspection.
In the end, they were very dedicated to ensuring that I was accommodated for the minor error and that I exited the process very happy and ultimately they accomplished this.
My only advice is that best practice includes leaving just a little extra breathing room to account for any complications that may turn up during the tailoring process. We are all only human, after all.
I am happy with the outcome and I will be doing business with them again in the future. Well done to the both of you.
Edit: Changed from 4 stars to 5 stars. Mark has been exceptional at following up.”
“10/10 they will match your energy and get you into the best kicks of you life. Walk in barefoot, find Sunny, give Van's some cheddar, walk out on top of the world. #kickfliplifeintheface seriously good place to get shoes n stuff.”
“I absolutely loved this store and all the cool unique things they had! Lauren was an absolute gem very sweet and welcoming and informative of cool places to visit and eat at. Will definitely return next time I visit Portland!!”
“The most awesome place to shwop your used clothing into new to you clothing! Membership based, affordable and fun. Take out the same number of items you bring in for a low monthly fee. Amazing community of people. XOXO”
“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 STAR SERVICE. BEST DEALS ON THE BEST CLOTHES IN THE NORTHWEST PERIOD. IF YOU WANNA GET A MATCHING FIT TOP TO BOTTOM HAS GOT YOU COVERED FROM TOP TO BOTTOM.? PDX REX”
“I worked with Joe and his team on creating one of a kind suit for my wedding. The attention to detail during the process from selecting fabrics, colors, patterns, and tailoring was perfect. The whole experience was spot on! Wildwood & Company did not disappoint! Their service was top notch and I couldn’t be happier. I highly recommend going to Joe and his team for your custom suit needs. Thank you again Wildwood & Company; I will return soon!

“The customer service from this company is outstanding. I had a small problem with a simply beautiful kendogi that I ordered and it was resolved immediately. The quality of work in my garment shows. Fran reached out to me even on a Sunday to make sure that I was completely satisfied. ありがとう”

“Tony, Tony, Tony...A cat decided time to get a suit at 53. You know me; frugal, not an elitist, comfortable in a warehouse for men. The experience was authentic, a testament to your talent as a Couture. It pains me when I see the balance at the grocery checkout and disperse my dollars to a bag of groceries that no longer carry the weight of my purchase in dollars...Not the case at THOR, every dollar of the incredible garment created at your hands and by your seanless skill
echoed theough my mortal coil and reflected onto my persona. This was an investment in Mark, no match to the advisor in you exists for me. You are the Merrill Lynch, the gold standard...now make me 5'12 and I will tatoo your indelible mark on my forehead. Simply put...Bravo THOR!”
