“My experience with Medallion Industries: I have worked for a lot of window companies and have always felt the “corporate mentality” when it came to how I was treated. I never felt appreciated with my hard work or when I went the extra mile. Medallion does not give me that feeling. What I see at Medallion is a company that takes the time to make sure their employees feel appreciated, wanted, and cared for. During times of less profits on the bottom line, Medallion still makes sure the employees have what they need for the holidays. For example, for Thanksgiving I was given a very generous turkey for my family to enjoy, and for Christmas I am given a ham. They don’t have to do these things, especially during this time of year when building/profits naturally slows down. They even recognize employees that are having hard times and collectively come together to make sure their family has a comfortable Christmas. Do I genuinely feel appreciated? Absolutely. “If you need big beams or interesting reclaimed wood for a project I highly recommend checking this place out. I built a bench from a cool old beam and the price was fair. They also have a lot of other hardware, handles, lighting etc. the lady that helped me was super nice as well. Not dirt cheap by any means but still worth it to me.”

“I made a large purchase of pressure treated boards from Milwaukie Lumber with the sole purpose of keeping my money local. My lumber was delivered today... I was a little surprised at the drop off technique. The lumber was just rolled off the back of the truck 5 feet from the ground. Sounded pretty rough... and I am certain the wood is absolutely fine, but wanted to make sure ML was aware of the drop and what the procedure was to replace damaged boards, if any. After going thru 3 people on 2 separate calls, ML reassured me that they stand behind their delivery technique and will take care of me as a customer. Overall my experience was good.”
“Wow...Beacon! We received 4 separate estimates and these roofers get product at different places, but our roofer told us JOE EASTERLY an employee there gave him a great deal. It wasn't the cheapest of all the roofers but a great price overall.We picked out the roof product at the Tigard location with Mr Easterly. BUT WAIT! After the roofer completed the tear off I had the idea of creatively doing a photo shop version of the "new look." I am a visual person. FREAK OUT. It did not match the brick and I could not tell on the initial pick. We contacted them and Mr Easterly had left (they close like at 4:30) but I was able to get his personal cell number and oh my goodness he helped us so much after hours even while in a dr appt.At the time I had no idea that the main company of the Certainteed has a website where you can upload a photo and it "builds" the roof instantly for you. Mr Easterly gave me 4 choices for an early morning delivery and with the Certainteed website it was an accurate representation of the completed project on our house. Sorrry for the long review but I had to give these details.My last minute change did not cause even a hiccup for Beacon. I love them. The salesman or rep Joe Easterly had it there on time and my husband isn't irritated with me anymore. LOL”

“I use Parr for a majority of my pergola and fence builds. The lumber is 95% better and more consistent than any box store. You pay a premium price for quality lumber and everyone on here telling you that it’s too expensive compared to the box stores clearly hasn’t worked with or purchased a lot of wood. The customer service can be hit or miss but sometimes it’s amazing. They are used to dealing with contractors and not homeowners so they will be short with you if you are an entirely sure what you’re looking for. Plan and prepare before you call them. Be ready with a list of materials that you want to get pricing and they will be tremendously helpful. I continue to go back to them for their amazing delivery times and quality wood compared to home depot/lowes.”

“My favorite shop as a drywall contractor! Super helpful staff, I’m terrible and never have the part numbers i order all the time handy and they help me figure it out every time! When I get out into the bays there were guys ready to take my order and bring the materials directly to my truck! Recently purchased a tool and had some problems, cheap little thing, bought a 2nd, same problem, let them know what was up and helped me right the situation! All round great place, great staff, worthy of a stop for any of your interior tool or material needs!”

“I love this location! I probably love it for the wrong reasons! It is usually very quiet and a quick get in and out type of place. Home depot on Johnson creek is always crazy busy and the parking lot is a nightmare. Lowes usually has what I need. The self check out is pretty easy and straight forward. I usually avoid self checkout at all costs! I come to this location to avoid people!”
