“I had no idea there was an Asian market around Beaverton that specializes in Filipino goods. For a store of small size, U-Need has a lot of what one may need to make Asian food at home. I wanted to buy some Mirin at a cheaper price than what is offered at Fred Meyer's and easily got some here, along with instant Pancit Canton. They have a lot of good snacks worth checking out and prices are fair. Staff is friendly and helpful. I'll be back for more.”
“Just moved to the area a few weeks ago and very happy to have a one stop spot right across the street from my house when I want a beer or something small and don't feel like heading all the way to Fred Meyer. Every member of staff Ive met is courteous, engaging and polite and makes you feel like a person before anything else. Great prices, a hot food counter that always smells incredible and even a scoop ice cream selection. Highly recommend!”

“I like this spot. It's very convenient for me. The hot seli items are the best tasting in the Forest Grove area compared to other places that have what I call gas station burrito bars. Most the other places taste like they don't change the fryer oil very often. This place obviously does. A burrito a crispito... corn dog or chicken tenders.. what ever you choose. Tastes good. And all the people that work here are super friendly. Always a smile greeting you at the counter. Otherwise, this place is like most any other quick stop mini mart.. they got snacks and cold beverages.. and an assortment of daily needs that you might find yourself needing. They will have my patronage as long as I am around.”

“North Hillsboro, this is your lunch option.I want to get this review in just to remind people that this and the Jesus Fightin' Coffee Barn behind Napa are the only food-selling businesses keeping regular hours in this rapidly expanding corner of the city. If the town overlords have their way, there'll be three new factories (oh, sorry "fabs"--wouldn't want to be coarse) belching smoke (darn it, there I go again--"vapor") into the sky from their myriad stacks (ahem, "scrubbers") just across the road, some new corporate campuses for all the tech people who totally go to the office after Covid and... no amenities or housing whatsoever.Great. As it is, the one restaurant in this area--Jersey Girl Pizza--can't attract enough help to stay open for lunch because its key labor pool is still attending Glencoe in the afternoon. Anything else the neighborhood needs is 2+ miles away, and bus service to the area is about to be discontinued because that bus didn't serve anyone but Intel.So we get the faithful Plaid, which recognizes it's the one port in a storm and recently bulked up its selection of milk, eggs and other staples to go with its actual essentials: Four aisles of snacks and a wall of alcohol fridges and ice cream freezers. There is (1) grocery aisle, and even that contains wine.For the optimist, this Plaid has a shocking array of European chocolates and candies, a diverse selection of chips ranging from hot to flamin' hot and a lovely gentleman behind the counter who'll wish you a Plaidtastic day. For the pessimist, there are still enough disgruntled country regulars to keep you entertained with disputes over nicotine patches, political discussions about flavored tobacco bans and squabbles over who'll clean up an ICEE spilled while reaching for a clearance yardstick of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.There are sandwiches in a refrigerator section, but no one knows where they're made. There's "coffee" on the counter that may or may not derive from beans. And there's a microwave for your burritos that may even be clean if you get to it early enough in the week.This is what the future workers of North Hillsboro will line up for in the years that follow. This is what may eventually force the pizza place to realize that you can, in fact, hire workers from places other than the high school across the street. This is the single most reliable business in this sought-after corner of town, and it's a dark metaphor for what awaits those who settle here.Have a Plaidtastic day.”

“Every employee I've interacted with has had a good attitude, even when I bring in a tiny red tank for a single gallon. Staff is friendly and talkative. The employees seem to be more stable than other stations filled with non-workers, tweakers and bad attitude.. They also have accurate hours unlike the local Shell that intentionally lies about their hours and has forever lost my business.”
“The two workers I've met when I go in are both so friendly! I live in Forest Grove but drive all the way to Hillsboro just because of how great their customer service is ! Most of the markets around my area have workers who either won't get off their phone to ring the long line of people up, or they are extremely rude and inconsiderate. But this store has the best prices around, the nicest workers, and is always quick and convenient.”

Just be aware, that you might have a hard time choosing between: triple filtered, quadruple filtered, quintuple filtered, sextuple filtered, septuple filtered, octuple filtered, decuple filtered.... And now, are you ready for this.. a butane that's been filtered an unbelievably absurd 12 times! In summary, what a wonderful place to let loose the inner tweaker hidden in you.”

“I love this station. It doesn't have a shop, but the guys are super nice, quick and efficient, and they wash my super dirty windshields every time! One time my car battery died after filling up and they were kind enough to push me into the parking lot while I waited for a jump. Best service by far out of any gas station I've been to in a long time!”

“It’s a gas station. But they have a zero ethanol fuel pump which can help avoid water induced problems from ethanol blends. The “clear” fuel is expensive but their regular gasoline pumps are competitively priced. Clear fuel is out back with the PUC diesel pumps.”
