“Not the type to usually spring for nicer hotels. Most of the time that I do make the plunge on my trips I find that they just don't do it for me. HOWEVER, This spot is excellent. Wonderful view of the ocean from our spot, beautiful room, comfortable bed, and the landscaping here is the highlight. A scenic walk directly to the ocean. Staff have been wonderful, amenities were free, I never felt like I was being nickel and dimed. Couldn't recommend it more if you want to actually get bang for your buck on a slightly more expensive stay. I say expensive, but it's actually moderately priced, especially compared to the plethora of resorts on the cost.”

“We stayed in room 7. I love their keyless entry, absolutely clean room (most important thing to me), comfy bed, beautiful ocean view, and a unique private beach access. We were across the street from a convenient store as well, which is always a plus. I would definitely come back!”

“Stayed at Best Western Plus Agate Beach Inn and the location is amazing. The pool and the ocean view were absolutely breathtaking.
But I was honestly surprised to see a worn-out, peeling armchair in the room. It’s hard to understand how a $280/night room can have furniture in that condition.
Breakfast isn’t included, but the breakfasts at the restaurant on the property were absolutely delicious.”

“My husband and I were there in May of 2024. I had been there before about 30 years ago and he’s never been. I was the first trip we’ve taken in over 20 years. It was amazing the service was amazing and I was just so peaceful and quiet. We loved every minute of it. We are hoping to get back to visit again in the next few years.”

“had a great experience at SCP Depoe Bay. From the moment we arrived, everything felt welcoming and well taken care of. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and had that perfect coastal vibe that makes you instantly relax. The views and the peaceful atmosphere really made the trip special.
What stood out the most, though, was the manager, Jake. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was right. Friendly, professional, and genuinely caring — you can tell he takes pride in the place and truly wants guests to have a great stay. That kind of leadership makes a big difference.
If you’re staying in Depoe Bay and want somewhere clean, comfortable, and run by good people, I highly recommend SCP Depoe Bay. We’ll definitely be back!”

“Walkability: It's only a couple blocks away from the depoe bay shops so easily walkable from your room also room #1 has a view of the ocean from the kitchen window!! I love this place and the owner is always a joy to communicate with and has always been very nice!!”
“Beautiful spouting water! Huge sprays cascading over the rocks and raining on all of us standing by the rocky walls. Mesmerizing! Saw license plates from California, Washington, Nevada and Idaho! Really a once-in-a-lifetime scene in Depoe Bay, the Smallest Harbor in the world!”

“I've been to many hotels.
This hotel has all the basic elements that some higher-end hotels so easily overlook.
The check-in process was easy and friendly. We got a very nice room. Everything was clean and looked nice. The bed was comfortable for me ( had back pain that night and the bed helped). I slept peacefully. They were all courteous.
It is also in a great location
I appreciate this place. Would return.”

“Stayed here two nights last week, Lee was great and kind at check in. He wasn't in the office at first so just ring the bell and he came. We originally had a room with two beds he moved us to a room with three because it had a kitchenette without us asking. The room was clean and spacious. Bonus it didnt have a funk/smell like the hotel we stayed at in Lincoln city! Quite area even being close to the main road. We didnt get the chance to eat the the Chinese restaurant but we will be back!”

“Beautiful view of the ocean from room and our balcony . Right off the ocean. Got to take long flight of stairs down to the beach below. Can tell it's old resort . Our room had a jacuzzi tub. Beds were clean and comfortable. They have wifi and flat screens but oddly no phones in the room. Towels are really small. Quiet peaceful we were there when we got our tsunami warning.
Rooms have DVD player, fridge, microwave, pod coffee pot. Pool was old but clean and warm and indoors had its own building showers was broken in the woman's bathroom of the pool. Sauna in the same building as pool. They no longer have a play ground, restraunt, game room, or weight room however. The washer and dryer on site were down. Ice machine worked though.parking was first come first serve.”
“Stayed here for one night as we headed back from our trip and it was wonderful, called in to ask for reservation they made it easy, the hotel was quiet room was nice and budget friendly with a view of the ocean.”

“The room was very nice but the floors were a little sandy. Which is to be expected at a beach hotel but it seemed a little excessive. However, hands down one of the best stays in a hotel/motel I've had in years. Its close to the rogue, pier, and jetty. Easy paths for trekking all of these. The views from our balcony were amazing. A little noisy with the bridge right there, but that wasn't an issue with the windows closed. Amazing spot will stay again. The photos are from our balcony view.”
“We absolutely love this hotel. Every room has an unobstructed view of the ocean. We have our favorite room. The front staff are very accommodative. The room is fresh and clean. The bed is perfect, not too hard, and not too soft. The only thing that isn't great, but is no way a deal breaker, is the tv doesn't show program info.”

“Rooms are cozy and have a great view of otter rock. Close to Devels punch bowl with a restaurant on site and its own beach acess. Definitely a nice place to stay.”
