Fred Meyer is a store for groceries and home items, often described as having great prices and quality that beats competitors. Many customers shop there out of convenience due to its location. The store quality is usually above par. However, experiences vary significantly. Common criticisms include long customer service lines with very slow waits, a lack of employee recognition for helping, and poor selection with half the items out of stock and aisles blocked by carts. The presence of security checkpoints, armed guards, and metal detectors is frequently mentioned as disconcerting, nerve-wracking, and a reason some customers choose to shop elsewhere for comfort. While coupon savings in the app are a noted positive, the overall atmosphere has led some to feel it is not the store of the past, with observations of rampant theft and a sad change in society. Some customers have a serious preference for stores without such security and plan to shop at other chains from now on.
I love the selection here, but the prices are about 50% higher than elsewhere.

The store itself is ok, the parking lot is the problem. People seem to have a hard time seeing the giant 4 foot long directional arrows in the parking lot. So, just a suggestion, maybe having them repainted so they are brighter and stand out more might help, but with these drivers i do doubt it will help......
