“After my very unpleasant experience at another Fred Meyer, I wanted to give this supermarket chain another chance. And this Tualatin location took advantage of the opportunity. The goods are very well presented, the racks are carefully stocked, the product range is very extensive, the staff is friendly, competent and helpful and, unlike the other Fred Meyer branch, I was also able to buy wine and beer with my Swiss passport.”

“One of my faves, I drive from Oregon City for the bakery and meat specials and real 100% cream to make my ice cream. Never leave without a vanilla latte and a few donuts!”

“I’ve come to love this location. When they first opened, getting used to a new layout was a thing but not a problem. It smacked in the middle of my commute to work so it’s super convenient, the employees are always friendly and helpful, and I can generally find what I need and get in and out quickly when I need to. Parking is never a problem.”

“It's alright. A little bit expensive but the attentive shopper will find some deals. Clean and well stocked but not uptightly so. They didn't have 2 of the three spices I came for but found some items to make up for it.”

“Another great day shopping at Trader Joe's. The cashier's went out of their way to help me pack my groceries and were very helpful to a person with disabilities.
The kindness and respect is always appreciated at this location. I live in downtown Portland and I choose this store on the days I need to go grocery shopping, because I'm impressed by their customer service and good vibes. They have all my favorite healthy snacks and food to keep me less stressed at meal time. Thanks Team for always being there for people with disabilities and keeping the store shopper friendly.”

“My love affair with Joes goes back to the 80’s.
Interesting products. Very good prices and high quality products. Occasionally something is a skimpy amount.”

“Excellent customer service! I was looking specifically for a tea. Twig tea aka kukicha. It was my first time in and I looked thru teas myself but so many...I asked at desk for help locating and a young woman did find for me. Most appropriate!!”

“If I could give this place 10 stars I would! I love this store. I will say I miss the ground chorizo that they used to make in the meat section, I wish they would start making it again. But I was able to get the butcher to make a special batch for me, which was super sweet of him. He deserves a raise!”

“I've been going to this market for years. It is clean and has just about anything you may need, and plenty of snacks. If you want a little treat for your day I would stop here.”

“They often have things other places simply don't. I discovered Zupan's when I was looking for the Internet's top rated gluten free breadcrumbs. Zupan's is the only place in the area that carries them. Ditto for highball energy drinks. Yes, Zupan's is expensive, but in this case, you get what you pay for.”

“We love love this store. Lots of stuffs you never knew you needed😉 good sales on restaurant quality frozen food. Huge selection of flavored syrups for coffee and smoothies. Great quality cookware.
A great place to explore!”

Just watch your expiration dates for some stuff.
Staff is nice. Lots of parking.”

“Selection is always amazing, if you like John's market and check out this little gem. The staff is crazy friendly!

2026 update: under new ownership, beer selection and abundance has significantly dropped, bummer :/”

“If you're planning a gathering that has food. You need to stop by CHEF'STORE! It will surprise you what is available to anyone. It definitely geared to businesses. I find myself stopping there a few times a month* You can also find everything you need to make yourself all the different types of drinks with syrup flavoring in them. Including the RedBull if you choose. Go check it out, it's worth your time ?”

“I just became a co-op member and I'm so glad I did! The bulk section is phenomenal and they don't sell any meat in store. Some items are cheaper than other places, some are more expensive, but I love buying local to support the lovely store. It is a bit small, so be prepared for potential traffic jams/pileups. Masks are preferred in store but not required”

“I do 30% of my shopping here, 20% at Costco and 50% at Freddy's. We make a ton of pizzas for friends and families and for our particular needs, Chef's store always has a wide variety of pizza cheese, blocks of romano and parmesan, fresh crispy Romaine lettuce, half gallons of heavy cream, bags of jalapenos and cilantro, bags of pizza flour, and large containers of condiments like pickles or Mayo are always a better price here than other stores. They will also have items that Costco doesn't carry and generally in the same price range that Costco offers. They supply a lot of restaurants and food trucks in the area. Easy parking, easy to get in and out, and usually very little wait time to check out. If you have the freezer room to put a box of puff pastry sheets in it, the price blows Fred Meyers out of the water.”

“Great selection in small space. Baked items and smoked fish samples were very good. We’re going back. ??
Store keeper uses phone translator app to converse with us. Very friendly and helpful.”

“Got to love grocery outlet, have super special deals, that are always hidden in the aisles, you just got to look for something that is ridiculously cheap, other than that the food items are commonly priced. But they do have simply go, Which looks like they are grocery outlet products.”

“Little shop, but very friendly owner.
Today is my 2nd time using it as I was waiting to get my haircut. I joked that I was only 14 (I'm 63), he looks at me and says I look 30. I'm going to believe him.
There's no liquor here, but you can find beer, wine, seltzers, and snacks here.”

“I'm just yr local white guy, but now I know where to go to stock up on spices I can't find at Safeway.

Thank you so much. You've made me a very happy man! Just cooked some food today with the leftovers in my fridge with my new spice purchases.”

“Winco is my first stop for grocery shopping. I can usually find 80% of what I need at a great price. I docked them one star because although they have tons of checkout lines, usually only 4 are open because they don't have enough cashiers. Hence, there's always a line, although things usually move fairly quickly. Not the best seafood, but their produce has really improved.”

“I find the atmosphere, the lighting and the shopping experience to be very pleasant. Sometimes I just go there as a treat for my senses.
That said, the hot bar and salad bar at my Cedar Hills’ location doesn’t have as much selection as one would find at a Whole Foods or Market of Choice.
Since Amazon bought Whole Foods, I find they’ve maintained their quality while also offering really good deals on certain items. It’d be nice if New Season’s had more promotional prices. I do appreciate their coupons that come in the mail as well as via text message.”
