I opened my account at Chase Bank in January 2020 at the West Linn branch. I was initially skeptical about switching to a big bank, but Michelle Kilby completely put me at ease. She was, without exaggeration, as outstanding as anyone in her position could possibly be — and then some.

I was blown away by her friendliness, her knowledge, her social skills, her natural rapport, and the way she brought so much fun and energy to the process. Let’s be honest — banks and banking tasks are usually boring. But Michelle made the experience enjoyable, helpful, and sincerely personal. I could tell she genuinely cared about me and truly wanted to help. Nothing about her demeanor was fake — it was all real, heartfelt, and rare.

Michelle is one of those exceptional people who brings excellence to everything she does. She’s positive, intentional, hardworking, and tenacious — she doesn’t slow down until the job is done. I’m certain she’s always been this way and always will be. As a business owner, I interact with other banks regularly. They often try to win my business by promising superior service and more personal care — and for most big banks, they’re probably right. But what they can’t give me is another Michelle Kilby.

She’s consistently responsive by phone or email, and even when she's busy, she gets back to me quickly and is always ready to help. I honestly can’t imagine how anyone could provide better customer service.

Yes, Chase is a big bank and not perfect in every way, but they do offer excellent online tools for managing investments, loans, and multiple businesses, and everything integrates smoothly with my fintech apps. That matters. But what matters even more is that, as long as Michelle is at this branch, no other bank could lure me away.

I’m confident that many other customers who’ve had the pleasure of working with Michelle feel the same way. As a business owner, I’m always looking for people just like her when hiring — and Chase is very lucky to have her. I hope they know that.
