“This is one of my favorite Amish stores to go to!? Rather small store and the aisles are narrow but the shelves are packed with fun things to look at. Have a nice selection of fabric, books, toys, housewares etc. Service is fast and accurate!? Very reasonably priced.”

“Prices have gone up everywhere of course, but still here you can do the groceries purchase for the week, meat feels safely frozen and fresh, ( keeping in mind that is transported from who knows where) I don't mean farm fresh but FDA fresh ok, don't go in there thinking that you're going to stumble upon old uncle MacDonald... Lol”
“This is an amazing place to go whether you are in a rush or casually looking, you always find something, and if they don't have it, they will order it and it usually comes quick.”
“The store is great, good prices. My only reason for the 4/5 stars is because of the women’s bathroom. That hasn’t been cleaned or managed in quite some time. Pictures I took are shortly after opening at 9:00AM. The hot water faucet doesn’t work either.”

“Great prices and remarkable customer service. The staff here do really care about people. I went there today to buy some groceries. My car died while I was inside locking me out and my dog inside. They drove me to my house so I could get phone numbers so I could call a locksmith. Then let me use the store phone to call said locksmith. I am blown away because I know most other businesses wouldn't do half as much. Thanks again to the GM and Chuck for all the help, you guys are great.”
“I have been shopping here for quite a long time and I think this family Dollar store in The cloister shopping Center is the best and cheapest store around and the people are very friendly you ask them to help you look for something they don't complain they just come and say can we help you find what you need hun that's nice and the store is very clean and every time that I went to that family Dollar store they always had what I wanted and when my mother was alive she also shot there she was in a wheelchair with one leg because of diabetes and also my father used to go there to back in 2007 at stores been there for many years and I'm proud of that store and I love it there it's the only original place left every other place around the Ephrata area either burned down or disappeared or went out of business but family Dollar they're still there so people you want to shop at a nice little store with very nice employees that are willing to go out of their way to help you and they practically have everything that you can want go and shop at family Dollar in the cloister shopping Center and I will say it again I think it's the best little store around keep up the good work all you people at family Dollar. ??????”

“I remember moving from Philadelphia to here and my friend told me of the dollar store right up the street.. I was so happy to find something so close for some grab & goes, ended up doing the light load of grocery shopping.. Now this place has gotten way better theñ 13 years ago.. now you can get chicken, Fish and a lot more here... love it, pricing isn't to bad either, especially when your rent is well over 1000. But it does the job, considering it's only me...This is one of my favorite stores on this side of town. My quick fast and in a hurry go to place When you really need to cook something..
But then I went this morning to get something according to the hours printed on here, thàt this place opens at 8am, I live across the street and walked down at 845 this morning and it's closed...
So now i had to go 2 blocks to dollar general, and gave 5hem my business.. if your gonna have the young people work that's fine, but make sure they can get up early enough to open the store for customers.. like what is it that its so hard to get up, go to work and do your Job. You have people who need things and no one is in your place....”

You probably have no idea how retail works, the store it self has so many hours to distribute to the employees. After the hours are all distributed there are no more hours. “What I like about family dollar is the same thing I like about The dollar general stores. And that is, that they are strategically placed in locations that are in between Walmarts. So if a person has a necessity that they need from a discount shopping store, and Walmart just seems a little too out of reach with your busy day and traffic, There is always a family dollar or dollar general within 2 miles to 1 mile. Strategy. The plus with that, is, that they have great products and great prices like Walmart, in reference to food items. Anything else such as housewares electronics aren't as low priced as Walmart. There are things I get exclusively at family Dollar, that I will post in the picture section. I love their trademark chili without beans, it eats more like a thick soup with ground beef...I also go here for cat treats. I used to go here for birdseed because a nice size bag went for $3.49, Now I see since the pandemic that price has raised to $5.49. And just a heads up, all dollar trees are now no longer $.99. All dollar trees are now dollar $1.25...And just for the record I believe dollar general stores bought out dollar tree stores and that's why dollar tree stores have raise their price from $.99 to $1.25. They have wonderful deals on their family pack of toilet paper, tissues, paper products, laundry items and cleaning items...lower prices that are lower than any of the grocery stores around.”

“It's a nice place, they have lots of things, but there is an air about the place. It's like a discount Ollie's in a way, while they have some fun things, some of the things are less than great, some items are thrown around and placed at random. If you are looking for a place with loads of stuff and aren't near an Ollie's, this could be a good place to go.”
