“Always stop when in the area at camp. Not the fanciest place or the place with the best food at the bar but it's an experience for sure. The little store that's attached comes in handy for buying a few things that you maybe forgot.”
“Great prices, lots of products in bulk and even some not in bulk. Friendly people owning it as well as the people working there. Love the fact they have Folger's Coffee and Splenda, frozen meatballs I use as appetizers or in soups, curries.”
“Generally, it has EVERYTHING you need! It does have the small town expense to it but hey, it's a small town! The employees are friendly and very helpful and if they can't help, they find someone who can!”
“Great customer care and service, also when we needed boxes for packing items for a move, this store was more than happy to let us grab as many boxes as we needed.”
“I've been going to this Dollar general for years and it's always well run, pretty clean, and for the most part organized. What sets this one apart from some of the other stores in the area is that it has great service and always seems to have what I need. If you need some of the essentials this is a good stop.”
“I normally stop at the Dollar general on the other side of town but I was walking around the park and decided to stop here just to get two items that I needed. This Dollar general seems to have a slightly different setup than most however it's very easy to navigate, and was very clean. Not only that the store seem to be well stocked and organized. The staff here is also very friendly and they seem to know the locals very well as they greeted two different customers by name which is a great touch.”
“Family owner and run. Kept bacon and hamburger even when Walmart didn't. Addresses me by name. Know most other customers too. Best looking women and handsomest men you can see unless you go to church in Shinglehouse, Pa”
“I mostly stop here for ice cream because they have real ice cream, but when I run out of a basic need at camp, I can usually get what I need here for a reasonable price.
Pro tip: get your ice cream cone and walk the trail from the store parking lot to the Austin public school.”
