Pet Grooming
Stottlemyer Groom-N-Board
2631 Egolf Road, BedfordMy dog is reactive and aggressive. By the end of our visit, she was eating out of their hand. They have indoor outdoor kennels for reactive dogs. But the staff knows exactly what they’re doing. My child had a wonderful time. I could fully relax, knowing that she was safe and happy there.

Bracken Ridge Veterinary Medical Doctor, Inc.
5139 Business 220, BedfordNeeded a vet asap to help us put down our beautiful Abigail. While other vets told us they weren’t ’accepting new patients’ but they fit us in asap. They were so gentle with our girl and helped us help her to feel loved in her final moments. We’re so grateful to the dr and his team. ?

Pet-Friendly Restaurants
The Whiskey River Pub
537 E Pitt St, BedfordThis place was great! We were swinging through town and found this place was open as late as we needed it to be. Pub style food that was oh so good! Drinks were also delicious (though I didnt have whiskey) The portions on appetizers are definitely big enough for sharing! Our server was great and patient with us (as it took an extra couple minutes to ensure that some of our food was vegetarian friendly). The bathrooms were clean and nice as well! Picture of food was actually taken after we were full!

Village News LLC
110 South Juliana Street, BedfordVillage News Restaurant and Pub is a nice local find for a quick, quality meal. There was no wait, and my food arrived promptly, with much of it clearly being made in-house.
It’s obviously a neighborhood staple, which is always a great sign; it’s the kind of place where you can count on the service being fast, the food being fresh, and the prices staying affordable. Definitely worth a stop!

King Buffet Chinese Restaurant
651 East Pitt Street, BedfordMy favorite Chinese restaurant in a reasonable radius of my home! The selection is pretty small, but that's ok. Everything is delicious and I love getting takeout from here. It's affordable, tastes great, and the staff is always friendly.

Crystal Room at the Omni Bedford Springs
2138 Business 220, BedfordWonderful breakfast buffet! Omelet station chef was wonderful! Server was wonderful!
Also had dinner there that day, very nice. Same amazing server, she was fantastic (9/19, she worked all day, don't remember her name)! Lamb was on point! Duck was meh. Great experience.
(There was a wedding a floor above us. We honestly thought they might crash on top of us with how much the ceiling was BENDING. The chandeliers were clanging and shaking. SCARY!)

Bedford County Humane Society - Pennsylvania
182 Bohn Rd, BedfordAn Outstanding Experience with Bedford County Humane Society
The Bedford County Humane Society stands out as a truly exceptional rescue organization. Having adopted and fostered numerous dogs over the years with both my own and my wife's family, we've interacted with humane societies and shelters across many states, including DC, Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, and North Carolina. Among them, the Bedford organization consistently ranks as one of the best.
They've assisted us in various situations, and our most recent experience truly highlighted their dedication. We found a dog wandering on the road and immediately contacted them for help. Their communication was excellent; they quickly instructed us to bring the dog in and began efforts to locate the owner. Thanks to their prompt and caring action, the dog was reunited with its owner almost instantly. While it was a happy outcome, what truly impressed us was how incredibly helpful and communicative the staff at the Humane Society were throughout the entire process. They genuinely cared about achieving a positive result and made every effort to keep us informed.
