300 Lowry Dr, McconnellsburgThis was a mid-way stop for us on the way from Philly to Pittsburgh. Surrounding area is very country. Almost missed the turn-off and then was down a dirt road. Where are we going?! Then we come to the quaint new wooden structure. Cute cabin in the woods. Clean inside. Service was great. Food and prices good as well. Loved the homemade ranch dressing and took some to go. So why not 5 stars? We took 2 desserts home to share and eat later. The chocolate raspberry tort was so thin we were like where is the other 3/4th of the slice! That was definitely not worth the price. The lemon/raspberry cake was delicious. I will say that if we were going home that way, I am sure the owner would have tried to make it right for us as he chatted with us and the other diners for a bit. Seemed liked a great guy who cares for his customers and employees.
