“I donate here because of their noble food bank mission and have donated about six vehicle loads of household items here fall and winter 2024. Today I dropped off a box of stuff and then went to look for an item which I had donation regret from an earlier drop off. I found it and they allowed me to take it back. All my interactions with staff there have been positive.”
“Only reason I didn’t give all stars is because I was hoping they would take more. But the girl that waited on us when we came through the door was very very friendly and caring, that meant a lot, she represented the business very well.”
“It's a small but nice store with good stuffs. Really affordable prices. It has changing rooms as well. They accept only cash though. Overall very good but only open once a week :(”
“I took my son to visit Lion Surplus and he found a mouse and a computer keyboard and we paid a few dollars for each of them. They had used bikes, chairs, filing cabinets, dressers all for affordable prices! I like that Penn State sells their used items that are still in good shape to the community for decent prices. They also sell bakery items like breads, cookies and cupcakes. We will come back!”
“This is my favorite thrift store in the State College/Bellefonte area. Everything is clean and well organized. There a fresh selection of items every time I visit. Prices are very affordable compared to the nearby Goodwill. I also love the arts & crafts section. They always have small items like buttons and thread, which is perfect for when you don't need to buy a whole pack of sewing supplies! Staff are very nice.”
“The State College GoodWill has some good finds! Clothing is a bit high for a GW but household items are pretty reasonable. One thing that is aggravating is how they put their stickers on items. Bought a nice wall hanging the sticker was on the top front of the frame! Those stickers are almost impossible to remove without leftover residue.”

Prices are very reasonable. Some are incredibly low, and additional discounts are offered on certain color tags. The staff provides excellent customer service and are very willing to assist. My friends and I always stop at the Restore when we are in the area. You never know what treasures await!”
