“Love this place!! Great grocery store as they have different brand names, specifically regional items that are OUTSTANDING! Especially the pizza choices! Friendly staff and easy in-and-out. Worth the trip!”
“We have been shopping here since we were kids ... stays consistent in quality and friendly helpful people... I now drive up from Numidia to shop here ... love it ❤️”
“Best ever pharmacy l have ever had. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, and the service is always the absolute best ever. I think these wonderful people need recognition and a nice raise. Thank you staff for all you do. Denise Chupela”
“One of the few major chain super markets you cans till find chicken still on the bone. Prices are pretty good for most items as well. Just make sure you bring a way to carry your stuff as they dont provide any.”
“This store has the best bakery, produce and meats selection in hazleton. The quality is best as well, bakery items are fresh made and they dont just use cheap stuff like high fructose corn syrup, their donuts are the best in the area now that curry donuts and donut connection no longer exist. The fruit fillings contained actual fruit. Their produce is always excellent and they even have exotics from time to time like the ever elusive yellow dragonfruit and passion fruit. The meats are high quality and not a bunch of pink slime pumped junk. I go here anytime i am looking for quality steak or a pork shoulder roast for pulled pork. I get salmon filets here from time to time as well.”
“The store provides a range of natural products. Amish butter, non pressurised milk and a variety of premium quality healthy products are available at this store. The store is located on the ground floor easily accessible to people with reduced mobility once parked onsite.”
“Great in-town store with a variety of products that are mostly okay-priced. Very convenient for the locals and especially nice for people to walk to.Nice sized parking lot but watch for pot holes. Clean store front and no stairs which helps with accessibility ( but I am not experienced to speak on this). The store is clean and well-stocked. Meat selection is large, has a reasonable amount of produce but not a huge variation, the same with dry goods & care products.”
“(Translated by Google) The best food, good attention and the best prices!! Always a pleasure to eat here. Greetings to(Original)La mejor comida, buenas atenciones y los mejores precios!! Siempre un placer comer aqui. Saludo a”
“Very clean and well stalked and the service was great . Met at check out by a very pleasant and curtious young lady . Way nicer and better service that your chain grocery stores with a better selection and presentation. I will go there again.”
“Great super-market ??if you want something quick and easy for a meal or breakfast here where it is and in a lot of good atmosphere and attention, come in and leave happy with a good purchase or a good purchase??? ???.”
“Staff is knowledgeable, friendly and works hard! They are always busy and always working!! Working with the public isn't easy, but they do a good job! The pharmacists are helpful and the wait time is usually fast for any last minute pick ups. Best pharmacy in town. Good for vaccines and booster shots.”
“I love Giant! They have such a great selection of items. Their produce is always fresh and they have a great selection of peppers. Their dips are delicious! Be sure to check out their weekly fliers for some killer deals and I highly recommend their app.”
“I love the 2000's look that the store consistently maintained throughout it's existence. The service was always quick, and the isles were always organized. Went here as a kid, and would recommend to anyone looking to get a product in a timely manner.”
“It is a place that I find somewhat expensive and they even sell you the covers, they do not have that courtesy with customers. 50 cents for a cover that doesn't even fit an egg.”
“Had a great experience at this Giant location, which was a bit surprising given the poor reviews. My mother and I needed a few small items and found everything we needed. The store was clean and well-stocked. With over half of the residents of Hazleton being Hispanic, Giant is smart to have many diverse goods sold here, from Eastern European to Asian Pacific Islander to Italian and Dominican, and more. I love the coming together of ethnicities in the city and businesses embracing the beautiful cultures comprising Hazleton. Our cashier, Joel, was friendly, helpful, and professional. We were most impressed with the produce department, which was maintained well with fresh items and plentiful choices. The bulk bags of collard greens looked good and were fairly priced. Both regular and organic bananas ranged from green to yellow, giving shopers a pick of desired ripeness. Different price points for items existed in most departments. The liquor store within the store had its own cashier, and there were many options. It was really helpful seeing some of the wine and other liquors tagged with a note stating the item would soon be gone. One of our purchases was in the snack foods department, where we selected a bag of store brand kettle cooked potato chips. They were only $2.09, a good deal in today's inflationary climate. It is worthwhile to have a Giant Rewards card because small savings add up to more significant savings. You lost one star for the parking lot. It's dirty with trash, and people drive across parking spaces at high, erratic speeds. Recommend you request law enforcement support outside your business. There are frequent walkers, too, and they should not risk their lives to irresponsible drivers. If you are open at this location beyond 6-11 am for 7 days a week, please update the hours on Yelp. Also, someone in senior management needs to claim this business. Otherwise, it gives the impression that management doesn't care what customers think about the store.Thank you for a good experience!”
“Very good customer service all the time. And the remodel helps out to find everything easier and it makes the store feel bigger. There is even a way better variety of options than there was before the remodel. I'm a frequent customer and personally its a better looking store.”
“I would like to apologize. I was really upset with the incident. They are all really great people, and have an amazing store and a wonderful selection of items. Thank you for the MOST AMAZING EMPANADAS, it's my favorite item in your store.”
“(Translated by Google) The only problem this place has is!THAT Mr. Wilson is a great person.Congratulations(Original)El único problema que tiene este lugar es!QUE Mister Wilson es una gran persona.Felicitaciones”
“Prices can be a little more expensive then other local stores like Walmart. But so convenient to both Amazon warehouses in Humboldt that it's definitely worth shopping here on the way to work.”
“Clean. Not stocked with everything but perhaps I was there before the truck delivered. Employees were polite though busy. Checkout went smoothly. I will visit again.”
“Excelente MiniMarket ubicado en Hazelton Pennsylvania Estados Unidos, se encuentra de todo para la cocina, hogar, aseo. Gran variedad de artículos, justos precios, personal de servicio amable y atento, no hay racismo contra otras culturas, amabilidad y disposición siempre, un gran lugar para ir a mercar lo básico para el hogar.”
“The store is always clean some of the other dollar generals store are not so clean I went to another dollar general store put money on a gift card bought the gift card there and my money was taken off of it 300 hundred dollars in matter of 1 hour it was taken I was very upset called the card company never got my money back.So this one is the best in my opinion out of all the ones here in hazleton.”
Walmart wants your groceries at the door before the ice cream softens. On May 29, the retailer said its 30-minute-or-less delivery had reached 33 U.S. markets, adding a wave of new cities across the Northeast. Shoppers in those areas can order from more than 100,000 items, everything from fresh produce and baby formula to pet food, electronics, cold medicine, and prescriptions. Behind the scenes, the service leans on Walmart's store network and an algorithm that factors in order size, available drivers, and distance from the store.
Trader Joe's keeps adding stores, and shoppers keep showing up. The California grocer has marked nine more locations as "opening soon," pushing its expansion into new corners of the country. The grocer also took first place in the American Customer Satisfaction Index's 2026 supermarket rankings. It has held a spot near the top of that list for years.
Target is rolling out its most ambitious store overhaul in more than ten years, with plans to remodel over 130 locations and open 30 new stores across the country this year. The retailer is also putting money into supply chain technology upgrades to keep pace with how shoppers buy today.
Kroger is spending $112 million to build two new stores and renovate 15 existing locations across central and northwest Ohio. The company calls it a "record-breaking" commitment to the region. The two new Kroger Marketplace stores will rise in Canal Winchester and Delaware, Ohio, each costing roughly $30 million to build. Kroger broke ground on the Canal Winchester location on March 19 at the southeast corner of Diley Road and Greengate Boulevard. The 118,000-square-foot store is expected to open in late fall 2026 and will create around 250 jobs.
Loblaw Companies Limited is putting serious money into its retail network this year. Canada's largest food and pharmacy retailer announced it will spend $2.4 billion in 2026 to open new stores, renovate existing locations and strengthen its supply chain. The company plans to open 70 new stores in 2026. That includes 34 Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix pharmacies and care clinics, along with 31 hard-discount No Frills and Maxi grocery stores. On top of the new openings, Loblaw will renovate another 191 stores and continue construction on a roughly 1.2 million-square-foot automated distribution center in Caledon, Ontario.
