“My husband and I started going to Joe's about 15 years ago. It has recently been sold, and seems to be doing really well. There are a couple of nasty reviews here, but I think they are unfair and untrue. The shelves are fully stocked, the service is excellent and the meat as fresh and well priced as ever. Yes, it's a small place, it was always a small place. But they will do whatever is necessary to give you the cut of meat that you want as well as the weight that you want (so I don't have to buy 2 lbs when I only need 1 1/2 lbs) and at a better price than the supermarket. Go see for yourself; don't listen to the nasties.”

“A little bit of everything domestic and international. Some unique sundries. Staff kind and helpful to me. Nice balloon selection. I much prefer patronizing these type of local independently owned bodega type stores as opposed to a Dollar Tree or Big Lots.”

“Produce is abundant. Usually fresh, but it needs to be carefully inspected. Prices are usually lower than the chain grocery stores. I also buy seasonal plants. Careful with the eggs. I bought some that were not so fresh.”
