“I got gas and played the PA lottery. The store got a little busy. They sell alcohol in there and have fountain slushy. Your basic items. They sell pipes and attachments for vaps.”
“Had a great experience at this Giant location, which was a bit surprising given the poor reviews. My mother and I needed a few small items and found everything we needed. The store was clean and well-stocked. With over half of the residents of Hazleton being Hispanic, Giant is smart to have many diverse goods sold here, from Eastern European to Asian Pacific Islander to Italian and Dominican, and more. I love the coming together of ethnicities in the city and businesses embracing the beautiful cultures comprising Hazleton. Our cashier, Joel, was friendly, helpful, and professional. We were most impressed with the produce department, which was maintained well with fresh items and plentiful choices. The bulk bags of collard greens looked good and were fairly priced. Both regular and organic bananas ranged from green to yellow, giving shopers a pick of desired ripeness. Different price points for items existed in most departments. The liquor store within the store had its own cashier, and there were many options. It was really helpful seeing some of the wine and other liquors tagged with a note stating the item would soon be gone. One of our purchases was in the snack foods department, where we selected a bag of store brand kettle cooked potato chips. They were only $2.09, a good deal in today's inflationary climate. It is worthwhile to have a Giant Rewards card because small savings add up to more significant savings. You lost one star for the parking lot. It's dirty with trash, and people drive across parking spaces at high, erratic speeds. Recommend you request law enforcement support outside your business. There are frequent walkers, too, and they should not risk their lives to irresponsible drivers. If you are open at this location beyond 6-11 am for 7 days a week, please update the hours on Yelp. Also, someone in senior management needs to claim this business. Otherwise, it gives the impression that management doesn't care what customers think about the store.Thank you for a good experience!”

“I like the cleanliness of the store however i think they should have more stock of certain items. the girl with the curly hair was really helpful with helping me find my drink at the cooler today and honestly as much as it is a bad street its a nice turkey hill, would probably come back 😄”
“There's a gas station attendant that fills your car up with gas, a decent sized repair shop that does excellent work (speaking from experience) and the owner is a very nice man very down to earth.”

“I originally gave this location a 1-star review because there are some issues that I still believe upper management needs to address. After giving it more thought, though, I don't think that rating fairly reflects the employees who work here or all of the positive things about this location.
One improvement I would strongly suggest is better, more visible signage for the entrance and exit. The traffic flow can be confusing, and clearer signage would make getting in and out much easier and safer. This is something I hope management takes seriously and addresses.
That being said, the staff inside this store deserve recognition. The main cashier who works at night is truly a blessing. He is always friendly, patient, and incredibly helpful, especially to customers with disabilities who may need a little extra assistance. That kind of kindness and patience makes a bigger difference than people realize.
I also REALLY appreciate that this location provides assistance at the gas pumps for people with disabilities. Being able to receive help without even having to get out of the vehicle is an amazing service and makes this location much more accessible.
The store itself is always fully stocked when I visit, clean, friendly, inviting, and in a very convenient location. My concerns with the property are things that I believe need to be handled at the management level, and I don't want those concerns to take away from the hardworking employees who are doing an excellent job every day.
There is definitely room for improvement, particularly with the entrance/exit signage and the concerns I mentioned previously, but there is also a lot this location is doing right. The employees and especially the nighttime cashier deserve their flowers. ❤”
