“You can judge a store when you have gone through a complex tangled mess with them, and still have a good experience. I bought a highly coveted patagonia jacket from their online store, but the last jacket in size M had been sold on the floor right as I purchased it online. After using the wrong credit card, a new jacket in size L, two credit card charges that couldn't be refunded -- I have to say they were incredibly professional and responsive. The least I can do is write a glowing review because not every store has good customer service, that are able to follow the tangled thread that ended up with my purchase and still leave a good impression on me. I will be shopping here online again.”

“I made two suits for the first time with them, based on the recommendation of a good friend of mine with good taste. Indeed I had a great experience. Long was very good. The measurement he did for the suits was almost perfect; the suits came back (took a couple of weeks) as measured. In addition, they offered further minor adjustments to make the suits fit better, which were done very quickly (a few days). The service and the atmosphere are both great. Considering that it's tailor-made, and the quality of the service, degree of freedom in terms of all kinds of adjustments (shape of collar, type of buttons, style of pockets, etc) and the fabric seems pretty good, the price seems very reasonable to me. I got two suits, but probably I get another one soon.”

“Love this shop! I moved from Philly to Bryn Mawr and was excited to have a trendy thrift store with parking 3 minutes from my house! The music and atmosphere are great and I find it relaxing to browse around every few weeks and see what’s new. It’s clean, the staff are very friendly and the items span basic $3 bin stuff to higher-end name brand…all priced very fairly.I found a dress for my bridal shower, practically brand new high top Vans sneakers, cozy sweaters for winter, dress pants and a top for a holiday party. “Nice small store with a somewhat limited selection but it has a great location, nice smattering of brands and very friendly and welcoming employees. They even offer you drinks (adult vodka drinks and beer or water if you prefer) so it lubricates your desire to shop. It totally got me to buy a $70 bathing suit I didn't need and never wore but I guess that's on me. I'd check it out. It really adds to the shopping options for men in Passyunk Square plus free liquor whether your shopping or browsing!”

“Until this week I had never been to a Marine Layer store and now I'm wearing a Marine Layer cardigan as I type. Staff here are great, helpful and friendly. I found this cardigan on the sale rack and they told me about the T-shirt recycling program. For every tee you donate, they give you $5 in store credit. I put my cardigan on hold and came back the next morning with a stack of tees. They have a cute mailbox to drop them into. $25 off! Love this place! Not everything in the store is recycled fabric but they're making a good effort and I can appreciate that. PS the cardigan is holding up well with daily wear, squishy and comfy and not itchy... I dig it, Marine Layer.”

Understand that the owners of the stores are doing their best to keep the store hours consistent but without the main owner who has passed away things became more complex than usual.
