Pet Central
650 Old Willow Ave Ste H, HonesdaleI cannot recommend Stacy and Allison at Pet Central enough!
Our little mini Goldendoodle, Izzy, had a terrible experience with her previous groomer. We were told she was “incapable” of being groomed and that we would need to drug her before bringing her back. When I picked her up, she was visibly shaken and terrified. After that experience, I honestly didn’t know if I’d ever trust another groomer with her again.
A friend recommended Stacy and Allison, and although I was incredibly nervous, I decided to give them a chance. I am so glad I did.
Not only did they do an absolutely incredible job—Izzy looks like the cutest, sexiest little doodle in the world—but the biggest difference was her demeanor. When I picked her up, she was happier than when I dropped her off. She was relaxed, confident, and clearly had been treated with patience, kindness, and compassion.
That meant more to me than the haircut itself.
If you’ve had a bad grooming experience or have an anxious dog, do yourself a favor and go see Stacy and Allison. They are absolute rock stars, and they’ve earned a customer for life.

The Happy Parrot
451 Erie St, HonesdaleSo many different beautiful birds. Fun for kids and adults to experience. Owners are very kind, helpful, knowledgeable, and dedicated. Several birds are very tame, and fun to spend time playing with. Lots of birdcages, variety of seeds, bulk millet, food, toys, etc. They do trimming, and offer bird sitting.

Pet-Friendly Restaurants
Vinny's Original Brooklyn Bagels
1114 Texas Palmyra Hwy, HonesdaleBagels and pastries were all fresh, wonderful, and reasonably priced. The employee who was there today around closing time was on point, friendly and competent . Customer service is seriously lacking today as sadly, too many of my reviews reflect, but NOT at Vinny’s. All the employees at Vinny’s are the best. The place is damn clean as well. Thanks Vinny!

Dessin Animal Shelter
138 Miller Drive, HonesdaleThis is an efficiently run shelter that cares about matching the right people with the right pet. They processed my application quickly and my dog was ready to go home the next day. They knew his quirks and needs. He was clean and cared for. So far he's been just as described. The staff was friendly. I'm so glad I found this place and so grateful for my new dog!
