Pet Care

Shohola Veterinary Hospital
700 US-6 Ste 2, ShoholaThe best GP in the area, so worth the drive! The staff is very welcoming and their cat friendly approach makes my babies feel so comfortable (even with their attitude). Dr DeMeo explains things very well and makes me leave with a clearer understanding of how to properly take care of my cats and prices are very reasonable. 10/10 would recommend.

Pet-Friendly Restaurants

Peter's Europa House
1023 US-6, ShoholaMy husband and I have dined here several times in the last year or so and it has always been great but last night was probably one of the best dining experiences we've had not just here, but of all time. Our server, Ethan was so energetic, friendly, and attentive. He made excellent recommendations and made the whole experience that much better. The busboys, which I unfortunately did not get their names also deserve a shout out. They checked on us, refilled our waters several times, and kept our table clear from empty plates and clutter. Every staff member was truly exceptional! The food was amazing as usual; my husband's filet was cooked perfectly, so juicy and tender and I tried the Thursday night special to try a little bit of everything (salad, petite filet, risotto cake with crab and shrimp, short rib) which was delicious and such a great deal, you get the dinner, glass of wine and dessert sampler for $57! We can't wait til our next night out at Peter's!!

Other

Humane Society of Pike County
189 Lee Road, ShoholaThe facility from the outside view is well kept and the buildings housing the rescued or abandoned pets are heated and give comfort to the furry animals My first visit was to drop off dog beds, feeding bowls, and other pet needs. I met and asked a staff member what they fed the dogs and she said Purina One dry kibble. I offered to bring them some food and paper towels they were in need of. And the following day dropped off my donation.
