“My wife and I ate dinner in the non smoking restaurant. Food was very good. Wife was a little disappointed with the crab cake. She asked if they were broiled or fried, she was told they were broiled. When she received her meal the crab cake was fried.”
“Considering the main purpose of this establishment, it is an amazing experience. We reached out to this because out daughter was going to be having surgery at the nearby hospital. We came the night before surgery so we didn't have to drive so early in the morning for the morning surgery. They were very welcoming and showed us the main areas of the building. Both of our young girls were with us. They allowed them to choose a treasure from the closet, there were bags of goodies, hats, and other items available to take if they wanted. The large room you first see when entering is where they had service animals to visit in certain days. It had board games and a nice Christmas village to see. There were two large kitchens and a dinning area available for guests to use. Meals, snacks, drinks like milk (when available), water dispenser, frozen treats or pizza were provided for free. There was a fridge with meals from the previous day and then new meals each evening. There was a separate room with chairs and couches with a TV and a nice movie selection to enjoy. There is a large play room for young ones with toys and even a PlayStation if you sign out the controllers along with computers. Our room fit our needs, had two beds, a mini fridge, bathroom and shower. Laundry could be done if we wanted. We had a bin for extra food that we could put in the community fridge so each family knew what was theirs. Really the only thing I could even say negatively was the beds were hard, but they mentioned they were going to be replacing them in the future. The purpose for this place in my mind was to provide support in a time of need. They provided a place to stay, food to eat, things to drink, entertainment, emotional support (animals), transportation (we could schedule a shuttle if needed), all free of charge. Just the money saved instead of a hotel is great! I can't think of anything else they could do for. Ultimately we spent most of the time at the hospital with our daughter, but I would make a daily trip back to freshen up and grab some food to take back to the hospital to help keep food expenses low. I don't know how anyone could rate this place low. To my knowledge it is ran by volunteers and some of the responsibilities rested with us visiting to do our part to clean up after ourselves. Ideally the kitchen and dining area would constantly be clean if others would take care of themselves as cleaning supplies, dishwasher and everything under the sun was provided all because of constant donations. This place was an enormous blessing in our time of stress and anxiety. May God bless this establishment, and it's volunteers and those families that use it's services. PS, they have pictures on their site as I didn't feel right taking pictures in case I might get a stranger in one of them for their own privacy in their time of struggle. They also have an app to download as well for a one stop shop.”
“Nice atmosphere and the food is always wonderful. There is an outdoor smoking area, which has garage type doors that are open when the weather is nice and closed with heaters when it's cold.”
“Just fantastic place. It is a members only place and I was able to tag along with someone. Great atmosphere, great people, and cheap drinks what else can you ask for. I did not have anything to eat but everyone kept talking about how great the food is. There are a couple games you can play and they have a music player. Great hidden gem by the tracks!”
“Great place to socialize and enjoy trivia. Food and beverages are good and reasonably priced. Very supportive of veterans and their families. Always plenty of parking.”

“I had a wonderful experience taking the Penn State Extension gardening class recently. The Salvation Army of HBG was a wonderful host for this class. The staff was courteous & the environment was clean & on point. Will consider taking other classes they offer at this site.”
“Between me and my mother-in-law we donated canned cat food. And meat only baby food for the kittens. This is a no-kill shelter which I like. My son said he wants to come back when we need a new animal and adopt.”

“Great place! The dressing rooms were clean, there was a huge selection, and the prices were good. The day we visited also had a large discount (75% off a certain color tag) and it seems this happens often. I was able to get a jacket, a sweater for my boyfriend, and four shirts for only $20. On the way out I spotted this awesome picnic basket and absolutely had to pick it up. $25 and it included all of its pieces! We took it out two days later for Memorial Day.”
“Great facility. Lots of equipment and activities. One thing I don’t like is that it seems they’ve begun locking the restrooms near the gym and exercise-equipment area before closing time, making it necessary to use the swimming-pool locker-room necessary when necessary. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff.. clean, too.”
“old club but great steel popper pits for pistols, new 200yd range, good people. new cover over 25/50/100 rifle range. nice small pistol pit next to rifle range as well. indoor bullseye range. good gun show once a year. been here for 4 years now.”
