βExtremely helpful! Always working on their stores, but kept giving that look at me trying to engage eye contact more like giving me the feel eager to help. Not to follow me like giving me the feel like no not help, but worried I'm gonna try to fit the whole store in my pockets and shirt I mean every single worker were working, but willing to stop everything they were doing and genuinely help their customers! Whoever that actually owns the business you with more than words know how to run a business and EVERY SINGLE TIME I come I have a complete great experience I come in. Hard 23 years experience in auto mechanic, but also 23 years experience and I'm sure some can remember back yeah the same me Jay! Last time today I asked if you have steel tubing and no we don't, but showed how I used to fix a rubber hose to get our beloved Tow truck home I used a deep 3/8s socket! LMAO it worked!!! When you think you saw it all... Hahahaaaa, but no 150% recommend you guys All!!!β

βWoke up this morning to the sound of water. The bonnet nut on my 2 handle bathtub faucet from the 70's cracked and sent the handle across the tub, followed by a continuous jet of water. Turned the water off to the house and went searching...

John at Ace hardware? I called him. Yeah. He knows what I need. He has one left. Part was right, fit, and solved my problem. Staff knows what they are talking about, and obviously enjoy what they do because everyone was smiling.

βMy boiler needed a new auto vent. I bought the wrong one off the internet. I took the broken one into J. Lorber and they sent me on my way with exactly the part I needed. Saved the day.β
βGreat service. I needed to replace broken glass in an old storm window. They cut the glass to the size I requested and had the correct spline to hold it in place that needed replacement. This type of service is not available at the large stores.β
βThis was my first time here and I dealt with Tom. He helped me get what I needed for my project since this was my first time going duct work. Took the time to listen and suggested the material I would need to complete the job. He even ordered a part they didnβt have and it came the next day. Thanks Tom!β
βWent to pick up some all rod , Nuts and washers Fast and efficient service and very friendly definitely will be back highly recommend. Also it is very important to buy from these type of hardware stores versus the big box. Stores cannot stress that enough.β

βClosest hardware store in town besides Home Depot, prices a little expensive, but it's worth supporting home town business. Just wish they were open for a few hours on weekend, even just Saturday. Has everything you need, if not the direct you to a store close by that's does!β

βGreat family-owned & run store that covers a wide-range of items; friendly, helpful service & quickly gets to know & welcome repeat customers. Couple yrs ago when I left my credit card behind, he kept locked in drawer & soon as I came in, he let me know he had it waiting for me [unlike the 1x it dropped out of my pocket at nearby Family Dollar & saw online where I last used it--well in was there but left laying in full view in an unlocked drawer yp near register; NOT in locked drawer or managers offc!
Only problem I've had at JVs is that when I get distracted (or more often lately as I'm getting older), I forget or think of something I need--preferably nearby, quick & reasonable priced-- I rush out the door & realize its 7:30 or after [or earlier on Sun] & realized they are closed ? so addl hours are only thing I'd prefer .. but that's just me being needy & greedy bc I know they need time-off/family time!?β?β?β?β

I came in having trouble trying to locate a certain fitting and without me even Fully explaining what I needed She already knew what I was talking about and I was in and out in less than five minutes. Even though I didn’t have the exact measurements, he came up with a solution that would work. He made sure the piece was slightly larger so I could always come back and trim it down if needed, rather than having it be too small and not fit at all.
