“I just tried Brunish for the first time. Overall it was very good. I ordered the spicy sausage with mustard, onions, and relish. It was very tasty but I would not call it sausage. It tasted more like a quality hot dog. I also ordered an Italian hoagie. However, I would not call it "Italian" since it had no salami, capicola, or any other Italian meats. It was a very good ham and provolone hoagie though. The roll was very fresh too. I would order it again if that is what I was craving. But if I am craving an Italian hoagie I would go elsewhere. Besides that, the service was great and the owners were very nice. The pricing was very reasonable as well. I would definitely go back again just with different expectations. CORRECTION: I found salami on the second half of my hoagie.”

“Friendly staff. Excellent selection. I'm american and can't really make sense of all the merchandise all of the time, but there were some melona bars which I love, i got some fresh, semi-dry refrigerated noodles w/which to make stir-fry tomorrow, some reasonably priced watercress, enoki mushroom, a fancy grapefruit all wrapped up, an asian pear that was paler than I habe ever seen, but in a good way. Lots of specialty fruits of a high calibre. Huge, presumably soft shell crabs, live. Got some dried honeysuckle flowers to add to my proprietary herbal tea blends or even just some green or black back home. They had toasted barley for use in tea blends or to brew on its own. Dried candied peaches are nice. Kasugai gummies are amazing and wegmans stopped selling all but my least favorite flavors. That was my original incentive to scope this place out. Couldn't restrain myself once inside. You know me.”

“We try to support local small businesses as much as possible over the big chain stores because the little guys are who built this country. This is little hidden gem is a great little Mom & Pop grocery store that's been here for a long time. They do their own butchering onsite and stock some of the name brands as well. My Grandfather butchered for them back in the 50s and maybe the 60s. The meat selection here is good and they're not gouging folks like the big chain stores. Check out the deli case too as they have some nice selections and the folks behind the counter always greet you with a smile. We'll come to Freed's as long as they're open.”

I have purchased many different marinated meats and they are so good. The Sausage, that is the best. Get it while you can. The staff is always so nice and will explain everything to you. “Appreciate that deer processing prices are listed on the internet. No surprises. Venison Italian sausage is wonderful. Would appreciate it if they had more of an order form when recording your requests. Usually I order light pork to the ground meat. Since they didn't ask, I got a regular amount of pork fat, which is more than I personally care for.”

“Great prices and great quality food! Everything in the store is amazing except I don't care for the Clancy's brand of chips and snacks. They aren't that good but otherwise I've loved everything else. Great produce, milk, eggs, meat, fish, cold cuts, cheese, breakfast foods, and I LOVE the Mama Cozi's frozen pizzas. Also they honey battered chicken breast tenders.... I also appreciate that their healthier and organic food options are so affordable. The store is always clean and the staff helpful and courteous. Definitely give five stars, best grocery store around.”

“Honestly this store is very well kept and the deli items, produce and breads always appear fresh and well stocked. The neighborhood is sketchy but that's just me being half a yam. The people seem nice enough and it's not like I've ever been mugged going in or out. I just get the vibe that the loitering locals will find you $20 worth of trouble if you can spare $1 so they can get a bite to eat, yadda yadda. All in all it's a decent little shop.
