“Great experience dealing with Matt at the Allison Park, PA store who worked with me in numerous conversations with a somewhat unique situation with buying a washer that had to be ordered, in coordination with buying a stack kit and then timing the delivery. The installers were awesome (sorry forget their names) with communication, delivery and stacking of the units.”
“Rollier's Hardware is the best hardware store in Pittsburgh. They have a great selection, friendly and helpful staff and parking right behind the store in the heart of Mt. Lebanon. They have an extensive holiday selection of lights, trees and wreaths as well as interior holiday decor and candy. Definitely worth a visit.”
“No questions asked lifetime warranty on almost all of their hand tools. What more do I have to say? The manager who processed the exchange was very generous and helpful.”
“Matt was absolutely exceptional in helping with my paint project. He took the time to understand exactly what I wanted and guided me through options until we found the perfect color for my laundry room. His attention to detail, patience, and expertise made the process easy and enjoyable. I couldn’t be happier with the result—thanks to Matt, the room looks fresh and exactly how I envisioned it.”
“Hastings is the FIRST PLACE I go for commonly needed items -electrical, plumbing, bird food and feeders, household cleansers, or nuts, bolts and pull chain lamp sockets. Everyone in there offers to help you find what you need. The gentleman in electrical department found a new cane tip for me, used brute strength to pull the worn one off and applied the new! What’s not to love about Hastings!!”
“It’s always a good place when you need to get something cheap but not terrible.
We buy a lot of things that are disposable like boot covers drop cloths disposable gloves. As well as certain specialty tools that we don’t need that often.”
“Review from 7/1/26: I visited today after many years. I broke the glass on a large picture frame in my South Side office. I had called ahead to confirm they would cut the glass. Just as in the 2013 review below, these folks were very friendly, knowledgeable. I bought HEET for my car while there. Haha. Reminds me of a smaller Rollier’s in Mt. Lebanon. They removed the broken glass, cut, cleaned and installed the new glass while I waited. Took less than 10 minutes. The cost? $17.99. I was so happy to see Miller’s still provides excellent service. Thanks for still being here!
This is the review I posted in 2013:
These folks have survived for 100+ years and are obviously doing something right. Since moving into the neighborhood, I have bugged them many times with how-to questions, even though I wasn't making huge purchases. They are very knowledgeable and friendly. The person at the register always greets customers with a smile and directs you to the proper place.”
“Great local hardware store in Oakdale. Sometimes you need the big box hardware store, but sometimes the small local hardware store is best. It's good to support a store you can walk to, has knowledgeable people working there and they usually have what you need. It's a throwback to the way it used to be. Saves time and supports your hometown.”
“Just stopped in a few minutes ago to get some screws for a door repair at a local AirBNB I was staying at and the guy working there was very helpful-let me use their vice to straighten out the bracket I was reinstalling. Great/friendly customer service -what ACE is known for ! Thanks !!”
“Incredible service you just dont get in big box stores. Prices on many items cheaper than Amazon, moving into an old house in Bellevue this place has been essential.”
“First time using sky oxygen. Definitely recommend them for anything you need. I had visited two other supply stores and nobody knew right solution but still tried selling me something with a no return after opening the product. They actually took the time to help me figure out what would work and it did work. Thank you guys for your time and knowledge”
“Really cool local hardware store, only 5 minute walk from my house and convenient for last minute necessities in projects at home. The owner is very helpful and friendly.”
“Everything went very smoothly.
Package arrived on time and in perfect condition.
I am transitioning from an HVLP system so there will be a learning curve.
So far I'm impressed with the quality of the finish.”
“I honestly have not been here for about six months or so, however when I needed a 3lb sledge for some home projects I knew exactly where to go and get in and out fast. The only problem is getting in and out fast. Lol. There are always good deals and things that you miss and of course upcoming deal days like the one coming up. The staff are great in helping find things fast and the checkout line moves quickly! Love this store!!!”
“SPLAH, and specifically Michelle, helped us with every detail for our bathroom design, including finding a great contractor. Their customer service was excellent, and their selection of tile/fixtures/you name it was high quality. Michelle had a lot of experience and a great eye for pairing things together.”
“I have been using Sarasnick’s for at least 20 years to fix and service my lawn machines and my snowblower. They have never let me down. It’s an awesome place and I am impressed with their honesty and integrity.”
“I found this store to be amazing! It has the healthiest, most beautiful flowers and I even found my cat food there!! Rich was super helpful! Prices are good too?”
“Unstead of talking to A.I. talk to Shawn and tell him what you need if he doesn’t have it he will surely try to accommodate. Gas lines threaded. Drain lines, any plumbing electrical or masonry . Get stalked up on firewood now.super awesome concrete statues to remember your pain in the ass DOG. Brick and concrete sealer and yellow chain to keep Amazon off your property. Now is time to reseed get your topsoil and fresh seed and mushroom manure and put it on so you got a Nice lawn and call Sean”
“After striking out with two suppliers near me (south hills) I called, talked to a very knowledgeable lady, who confirmed they had the type of vinyl soffet I needed. Easy to find, very nice folks to deal with, reasonaly priced, loaded me up and helped secure my load.”
“Let me start off by saying I am not mechanically inclined so hardware stores are like going into a different country for me. I had taken my snowblower in to be serviced as when I lived in Ohio it was in storage and last winter here was mild. Prior to taking it in Inhad tried new gas and the electric start...nothing. Luckily I dropped it off Sunday and got it back today. Service was great, price was fair, and they did a great job quickly. One thing to be noted is if you have a repair or need salt - use the back alley.”

“We purchased a new storm door and had it installed by Lowe's; we love our full view door. JC came out to measure the door, Cody helped us order it. The first door arrived cracked but the second door was perfect. Cody was kind and very patient while I was deciding on the door and hardware. JC did a great job with the installation! The only negative was there is a small disconnect with the installer receiving the information that the item was delivered and ready for install. I called Lowes to see if the item arrived, then they forwarded the information to the installer and the installer called me pretty quickly. This happened with the first broken door and the second perfect door. I also hate to be connected to corporate Lowe's...I prefer talking to individual Lowe's I'm dealing with. I love the door so much, I thought about giving 5 stars but those little issues definitely made the process less than perfect.”
“I was shocked to find this hardware store “inside” the Giant Eagle grocery store! If you weren’t from the area and didn’t know any better, it would be very understandable that you drove past it because there’s only 1 sign that is visible to tell people it’s there and it’s not in the best location!”
“I love busy beaver stores and this is very nice to have in Lawrenceville. They sell anything you may need even if it's not the biggest of their stores. A bonus is that it's rarely too busy. It's also one of the few places where I always find salt in winter when all the other stores around are out.The staff is hit or miss. I have met very good employees and probably a couple that were very slow and dragged out the check out too long. Overall a great place if you don't feel like going to the bigger stores like Home Depot and Lowe's.”
“I just received the best service that I've probably ever had in my life the the robinson rockler. Barb is such an asset to this organization. I an ecstatic by her kindness, knowledge and help. Thank you”
“Friendly and helpful service. Was able to provide a delivery of 1 ton of gravel within 2 hours of my call. Fair pricing. Another local outfit would not deliver less than 3 tons.”
“Bobby at the counter is a solid man. He is friendly, patient and knows his products. He will steer you in the direction that is to satisfy your particular needs without selling a Bill of goods that are outdated or expensive.”
“CTS has the best selection in the area. I came here to purchase auxiliary heaters. It was easy to call in and have a representative find what I needed. Once they found the items pricing was fair and availability was same day. I will continue to use construction tool services for all my tool needs. You can rely on CTS to deliver the goods when you are in need. Thanks again.”
“I was very happy with the help and service I received at this Fastenal Company, they were able to get me exactly what I needed in under 3 days. I was happy with their willingness to work with the smaller quantity of hardware that I needed. Other stores (Lowes, HD, Rolliers) that I would have thought would be able to help were very rigid and wouldn't help me out but these guys were interested in getting me what I needed fast.”
“Very good hardware store. They have had most of the material I needed. They are friendly and helpful. The prices are competitive with the big box stores and are in the neighborhood. ??”
