Extremely kind and efficient even though WE were tired and upset at the situation. She has great customer service and is manager material in my opinion. Whomever she contacted on her end for assistance was not much help for anyone.”

“This was probably the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, the rooms were very very clean and smelled wonderful, the o reilys restaurant food was delicious and they gave very large food portions and the restaurant staff were very warm and kind, check in and check out was super simple and easy. We had a lot of fun at the pool. The laundry machines were very nice as well. Everything was truly five star. Will be recommending this hotel to all of my friends and family who visit Harrisburg/Hershey Park area.

“Great location near Hershey Park. Rooms were average overall, but very well kept and clean. All the staff here I interacted with were very helpful and friendly. When I had a dead car battery the next morning, the front desk staff were happy and quick to help me out. The laundry room person who assisted me was really nice. I wish I could remember his name to give him thanks here. Free breakfast has a great selection to get the day started. The only thing missing is a shuttle to Hershey Park to avoid paying the parking fee there. I'll be back my next visit to Hershey.

The breakfast buffet was fantastic, offering a wide variety of delicious options, and there are many other great restaurants on the property. Just a tip: make reservations early to secure your spot. The shuttle service to the park is convenient and efficient, adding to the overall ease of our stay.

The hotel boasts a wonderful outdoor kids' pool and an indoor pool, both of which our family thoroughly enjoyed. There are plenty of fun activities to keep everyone entertained. We highly recommend the Hershey Hotel for a delightful and memorable experience!”

This was surprising and very much appreciated. “Truck broke down between Texas and Vermont and this hotel is less than 2 miles from where it's getting fixed. Suite was nice for a 2 day stay with the two of us WFH while "stuck" here. She was so sweet and even gave my kids a little goody bag with a nice handwritten card. Those are the gestures we will always remember. Definitely staying here again should we come back to Hershey.

“The staff was great. Our mom was not feeling well from the drive when we got there. Ms. Noel changed our room closer to the elevator so she would not have to walk as far. Derrick even went as far as loading our luggage into the car. Top notch place to stay.

“Proximity to our event location was wonderful. Place was CLEAN and the price was shockingly low. I checked extensively for bedbugs prior to bringing my things in, as I've had to leave places but this place passed my inspection. The mini frig was cold, never used the microwave, bathroom clean and shower curtain was hung in a way that was so fancy! Was feeling so grateful and the first night was wonderful, couldn't even hear traffic. On the second night, the walls are paper thin and I listened for over an hour to a long, boring conversation stated quietly by the couple in the next room until my roommate talked of banging on the wall. After another half hour, I started recording them so I could take the recording next door to ask for quiet, but somehow, as I was getting up to get dressed, they decided to sleep, and was quiet, finally. If the roommate hadn't gotten up at 5am, the 4 and a half hours of sleep would have been okay.The breakfast was standard but really good and I would stay there again, but ask not to be beside anyone, at all. The best part of the whole experience was the greeting I got from the staff checking me in. I'd called the day before with questions and my last name got a huge smile in response as they welcomed me using my first name! I think his name was Gino and he was willing to answer all my questions. Really great staff there.Safety: The keys were not easy to work but finally did after multiple efforts. I felt safe in this place, and that doesn't happen often, knowing the staff was very engaging and helpful.”

I was expecting hot tub, but it and the pool were broken. the fire alarms on the 2nd floor went off around 10 pm, everybody went down to lobby and it was a false alarm. Apparently this had been happening for several nights in a row and guests were concerned. Since these are kitchenettes someone could be cooking. Reasonable. The weird part was around 1 AM the light under the microwave went on by itself. Neither my husband nor myself had turned it on. The light went off again by itself while we were sleeping. No reasonable explanation because nothing else was affected...management have a clue?”

“Booked thru Delta. Check-in was a breeze. The rooms were not ready because we got here at noon. However they were so nice to hold our bags while we hopped over to bucknell.”

“Nice hotel undergoing significant renovations. I imagine the final product is going to look really nice but, in the interim, there are some inconveniences.

First and foremost, the staff at the hotel was amazing. Every single person was friendly and accommodating. There was a big dance convention as well as several hockey teams staying at the hotel and the staff went above and beyond to help. Housekeeping was fast and responsive and the Front Desk employees were awesome.

The updated rooms are nice but on the smaller side. We were unable to find any double-queen rooms and it's really difficult to fit two adults in a double bed comfortably. The bathrooms, in particular, are cramped. If someone is at the sink, you can't be in the bathroom with them unless you're standing in the tub.

The fitness facility is currently closed and the temporary facility is essentially a treadmill and weight bench. All other fitness equipment is tarped off near the pool.

Indoor/outdoor pool is open but not really maintained. When we arrived, there were a significant amount of leaves in the pool. The biggest challenge of having a connecting pool with a courtyard is that the leaves that fall outside often make their way indoors. Fortunately, I found a skimmer and spent about 20 minutes getting the pool usable for our group. I imagine the courtyard is really nice in the summer but the indoor pool could use some TLC.

The restaurant and bar are part of the big renovation and "closed", but the staff did a nice job of creating a makeshift bar and seating area. There is a breakfast served somewhere in the hotel each morning.

The other nice thing about the hotel is its proximity to a shopping center with some eateries and a Target. We needed some odds and ends while we were here and it's about a 5-minute walk to almost anything you need.

Overall, a good hotel and I bet it'll be great when they finish the massive renovations. It's also an easy 15-minute drive to Hershey attractions.”

“Was going to cancel based solely on reviews. I'm glad I didn't. The first person I ran into couldn't speak English . She immediately went for someone who took care of check ins.He was very friendly. He let me check in early. The room was spotless. Bathroom same way. The elevator was fine.I unloaded our car and went to pickup my wife at her seminar.She was concerned about the negative reviews also.We were both really happy with the accommodations.The breakfast was really wonderful.Everything was covered. They had a great assortment of goodies.We will stay here again.”
