“As part of the Visit PA 2023 Scooped Ice Cream Trail, I made my way to New Salem. It was an over hill over dale trip. The local churches must have just let out. Several families came in with one focus ... ice cream. Cones, quarts, and gallons were sailing out the door. I sat outside on a bench and totally enjoyed my ice cream. One family joined me on the benches. They said stopping for Jackson Dairy was a mandatory stop on the way to and from grandparents' house in Laurel Caverns. Getting gas to make the trip home was 1 stop shopping.”
“Only complaint: no public restrooms. (That's the one mark below Sheetz.) Staff were SO courteous, warm and friendly. Solid 5 stars for that! Food was tasty, fresh, and economical.”

“Great ice cream including my favorite Orange Pineapple in a waffle cone or cup. Baked goods too. Update under new ownership and seems smaller portions and less selection.”
