“This store in a sentence: how the upscale moneyed set looks like they're outdoorsy without actually being outdoorsy. Or: decor, gear and outfits for entertaining at the "cabin" in the Berkshires. Tucked into a shopping center off busy Lancaster Ave/ US -30 in Paoli sits Trove General Store. It's a beautifully merchandised, well laid out store featuring warm brown tones against cool gray, some "vintage" style accents, mix of clothing, decor and housewares. None of this is "general store" unless you've got a cozy 6 bedroom cabin or a chalet at Aspen. You want to look outdoorsy without being outdoorsy- catered clamping is roughing it. Everything is lovely, and $55 is a sale price for a shirt. Three melamine stacking trays in different sizes will run you $85. Spotted a thick book on how to go camping that will not help you go camping but will look great on a shelf or a side table. Expensive, tasteful, fun to visit. I am not their customer.”

Charlie was so incredibly helpful, I wish I got the name of the other associate who helped my husband look at different suits. Charlie was insightful and helped me find over $100 in rewards (in my account) to help bring down the cost of my total purchase. They gave us refreshments as we shopped. I have shopped at Banana Republic for over 10 years and it was the best shopping experience I’ve had at a Banana Republic.”

“You can judge a store when you have gone through a complex tangled mess with them, and still have a good experience. I bought a highly coveted patagonia jacket from their online store, but the last jacket in size M had been sold on the floor right as I purchased it online. After using the wrong credit card, a new jacket in size L, two credit card charges that couldn't be refunded -- I have to say they were incredibly professional and responsive. The least I can do is write a glowing review because not every store has good customer service, that are able to follow the tangled thread that ended up with my purchase and still leave a good impression on me. I will be shopping here online again.”

The music and atmosphere are great and I find it relaxing to browse around every few weeks and see what’s new. It’s clean, the staff are very friendly and the items span basic $3 bin stuff to higher-end name brand…all priced very fairly.I found a dress for my bridal shower, practically brand new high top Vans sneakers, cozy sweaters for winter, dress pants and a top for a holiday party. “I would rate this Allen Edmonds store, especially this store and its assistant store manager Tim Fournier, as one of the best experiences I have had in recent memory at an in-person retail store. As a newer Allen Edmonds shoe wearer with little to no experience wearing these types of shoes, I was blown away by the level of professionalism and subject matter expertise by the store's assistant manager, Tim Fournier. For someone who is used to wearing dress shoes from Walmart, this was a significant change for me. Tim made it easy by providing honest options of shoes and colors based on my daily needs. He also provided ways to maintain my shoes in ways I had no idea. You would be surprised by some of the differences in wearing real leather shoes!
