“Gotta be one of the most peaceful places I’ve ever been too. So much history and kindness when you step through the doors, everyone was so warm and welcoming. Worth the detour by a mile. Truly a special spot.
EDIT: Right after I posted this, the owner (Dave) heard I was visiting from out of town and showed me the Mac memorial and Knick knacks above the shop. Gave me a full rundown on the history too and thanked me for stopping by. So grateful to have made it. Thank you FPM and Mac!!!”
“I was compelled to write review to give big shout out to Ms.Renee , one of the employee at the Scotty’s Market. We entered almost at their lunch break hour & she kindly let us in. And she even stayed back till we complete order & eat. She happily assisted while we shopped snacks & she gave suggestion on food, asked my kid feedback on food so that Scotty’s market owners can reform. It is such a rare thing to see nowadays that people work with such kindness & passion. Thank you Ms Renee. God bless you.”

“Its the best cold sandwich in the city on any given day. Its consistent - quality bread, meat, cheese, veggies, good ratio of ingredients and it travels well. The thing that really sets this sandwich apart from other well constructed handhelds is the veggies - they really wash the veggies well; they are never gritty, they don't taste like dirt. “I went in today for the first time, I was so amazed at everything so stocked and organized and neat. I saw the Tea Selection I love herbal Teas a customer told me they take EBT I said ok thank you and was telling me about the fish jerky he was very nice and didn't judge me since I'm not Russian. I only live over the bridge from the market. I bought Tea and a few other things, the lady cashier was very pleasant and friendly as well as helpful. I definitely will be back.”

“Great neighborhood store with a small deli serving sandwiches. I had the Reuben, which was far better than I expected.
I noticed the store shelves were stocked with high-end items that my wife buys from Whole Foods or Fresh Thyme market, so I was impressed with the little grocery”

“All I wanted was a post-delivery Italian sub and my husband stopped at this Italian market for one. They were sold out of hoagie rolls but came through by making me this monster Italian on ciabatta. The sandwich is bigger than our baby and we had a good laugh. It was delicious and much appreciated how they did what they could to fulfill my long awaited cold Italian sandwich craving.”

“I haven't been to this place for a few years. I finally made it back. Got two Italian hoagies for myself and the wife. Everything on them and I choose no dressing so they wouldn't get soggy on the way home.
Heated them up with mayo and Italian dressing.
Holy cow! These were the best, loaded with plenty of meats and cheese and just the right amount of garden stuff. Better than any of the franchises and even a little better than my local pizza shop hoagies. I may have to make this a regular stop when I'm in Bloomfield.”
“Gordon Foods in Monroeville, PA is very clean and organized. There is plenty of parking and an easy entrance. As soon as you walk in the double doors, large carts are readily accessible. The aisles are very wide and items are easy to find. There are bulk items for baking, cooking, entertaining, and catering. One bakers pro tip: they have excellent prepared cookie dough that taste homemade in a wide variety of flavors. They have full deli turkey breasts, ham, etc. They have high quality steaks and hamburgers. Their frozen section contains vegetables, fruits, breakfast items, casseroles, lasagna, etc. You really need to explore the variety to appreciate it fully.”

“A great Italian market with pre-made Boars Head Hoagies for a fast lunch. Homemade deserts in large and single serve portions. Cold drinks and a huge variety or candies. Great stop for lunch or to grab dinner for later.”

“Parking lot a bit tight. Employees nice and professional. Store was clean and quite organized. Shopping experience was nice and check out was faster than I expected.”
“The parking lot sucks but that’s not the stores fault. Prices are decent, ingredients are decent , the store is relatively clean and well stocked. Produce is always fresh. Lines usually move pretty quickly and the cashiers are always nice to my son while he stays in the cart kinda in the way.”

“What a gem in Oakmont! We stopped into Oakmont Olive Oil Company and had such a great experience. The woman working there (wish we got her name!) was absolutely fabulous — so knowledgeable and passionate. She gave us the full backstory on the oils and balsamics, walked us through tastings, and really made the whole visit feel special and personalized.
The selection is amazing — We ended up leaving with a few travel bottles we couldn’t resist. You can tell this place takes pride in what they offer. Highly recommend stopping in if you’re in the area — it’s a little tasting adventure with top-tier service!”
