“First of all, I have been coming here for years - everyone is super nice and I’m always immediately asked if I need help the moment I walk in the door.
But today, I went in needing to replace a damaged hinge from a vintage piece of furniture that belonged to my grandmother, my mother, and now me. It’s sentimental and the piece I needed was very specific. One of the guys who worked there offered to try and fix the hinge with the vice in the back. It worked! No need to find a goofy modern replacement hinge.

“I needed a part for one of my bathtub handles. This was the first time going into this store. They were so helpful and by luck found a piece that looked very similar to what I was looking for. Sooty I didn’t catch the guys name, but he went out of his way to help me. I bought the piece and to my surprise , it fitted. Thank you so much for your help and support. “This is the week along with the weekend 01/18 thru 01/25/2026 where Philadelphia and the surrounding counties will be impacted by a serious snowstorm and bitter cold 🥶 . The weather stations, along with social media are hyping the situation up and people are panic buying everything. I happened to find salt when all the big name stores are out completely.
I found a bag of rock 🪨 salt 🧂 for under $15.00.
The store owner and employee are pleasant people and friendly the gentleman carried the bag of salt to my car. I believe in supporting small businesses and this is not even my neighborhood.”

“The employees in this store are wonderful! The prices at Harbor Freight are so much better than the big box stores like home Depot or Lowe's. I don't think I have seen a warranty backed by a store like this since Craftsman many years ago with Sears. I am always able to find what I need at a great price as well as picking up something extra because of the appeal.”

“I love harbor freight, but whatever vendor they changed to for the sanding belts, suck. The original one's I used to buy were bright red 36 grit. Now they're burgundy 40 grit and on metal, they wear out instantly. Again, I go to harbor freight every other day and I love the tools, but please change back to the original sanding belts those darker colored ones SUCK! I feel dirty going to home depot to buy them (lol), but unfortunately that's what I've been doing”
“Holod’s is definitely the best plant nursery in Philly. I would absolutely come here before Home Depot or Lowe’s. They have a really wide selection of plants, including a lot of native plants, and they are always happy and healthy. I wish the selection was more like 70% native/30% non-native, but the selection is still great now, and the nursery manager is always exceptionally friendly and helpful.”
“Convenient to my residence but much too small of a space for the amount of product the store carries, and as a result organization and claustrophobia can often become a problem. Several times it’s taken 5-10 minutes to locate an employee when I’ve had questions or am ready to complete a purchase.”

“This place is EXCELLENT!! I was shopping for an out-of-stock 28ft Werner and Approved had it at a price that beat EVERYBODY. I wasn't looking forward to Torresdale Ave, but it was worth the hour drive into Philly. They have a big overhead to pull in and a large loading zone on the street....so zero issues going there and picking up....easier than buying anything at HD!! Any future ladder anything I'm going straight there. And the owner is super nice and helpful. I only do reviews for people that really deserve it!!”
