About Canal House Apartments
The Manayunk Development Corporation (MDC) formed in 1992 as a nonprofit corporation with both a primary business development mission and a cooperating community development mission. As a business development organization, MDC takes primary responsibility for the management, promotion, and positive development of the Manayunk’s business district. As a community development corporation (CDC), MDC cooperates with other civic and community organizations in the Manayunk area to plan and implement community programming and physical improvement projects of interest to both businesses and residents in Manayunk. Manayunk’s proud business members and board of directors are the driving force behind the success in our district.

We have lived in the Canal House for 14 years. We have never experienced any delay in maintenance service or a response from the front office. Maritza, Chuck and Norman run this building like a tight ship, and we are grateful.

Management ranges from subpar to outright rude. Doesn't adhere to their notifications of entry half the time, have mice problems in the winter, becoming super overpriced for the location. Great area though so maybe find somewhere close by to live for a reasonable price.

Fairly priced in the heart of the Manayunk food and bar scene ..
